Table - best surf conditions forecast for Lecount Hollow over the next 16 days.
Alright, Rusty here. Let's break down the surf for the next couple of weeks.
Honestly, it's a tough run. We're looking at a long stretch of mostly flat, weak conditions at Lecount Hollow. The combined energy of all swells directed here stays in the low double digits for days, with swell heights barely cracking 1 foot. It's a quiet spell, and the first real chance of anything worth changing out of your wetsuit for doesn't pop up until the very end of the forecast.
The first few days from Sunday the 12th through to the morning of Saturday the 18th are just poor. You're looking at tiny, short-period windswell, mostly under 1 foot, and the wind is often cross or onshore. There's a moment on the morning of the 18th with glassy conditions, but the swell is still only 0.7 ft – it's a paddle around, not a surf. Not worth your time.
Then we hit a bit of a bump on the 19th. Sunday morning sees a jump to 3 ft from the ESE, and by the afternoon it's 4 ft from the E. The combined energy climbs to 100, which is moderate. But here's the killer – it's a bumpy, short-period windswell at 4 to 6 seconds, and the wind is straight onshore. That's going to be a blown-out mess. Not recommended.
The rest of the week from the 20th to the 26th is more of the same struggle. The swell gets a little bigger at times, up to 3 ft, but the wind is nearly always cross or cross-on, often strong. The energy numbers are all weak to moderate, and the periods are short. It's a lot of chop and lumps.
The only light at the end of the tunnel is Monday the 27th. The morning session shows a glassy, calm wind, with a 2 ft SSE swell at 8 seconds. The combined energy is 67 – still weak, but it's the best we've seen. That's the one window. It's small, it's clean, and it's surfable, but it's not going to be a standout. For a break that's consistent, this is a real dry spell. It tends not to stay this poor for long, and forecasts can change.
So, the bottom line: there's a single, small, clean session on the morning of the 27th. That's your only real option. The rest of the 16 days, you're better off finding something else to do. No standouts in this run.
