Updates in hr min s Forecast update imminent
Hey crew, Rusty again. Let's break down what's happening at The Wall for the next couple of weeks. Gotta be honest, it's looking like a tough watch.
This break is exposed and really needs something from the ENE to get going. Over these 16 days, there's a long stretch of pretty poor surf, with just a couple of very ordinary, low-energy windows popping up. It's a lean run.
The first chance you get is on Thursday, July 9th. In the morning and afternoon, we've got a weak swell out of the ESE at 3ft to 3ft with a short period of 8 seconds. The combined wave energy is weak (107). The wind is a light cross-offshore from the SW, so it's clean. It's surfable, but it's nothing special.
After that, it's another long gap until Monday, July 14th. On Tuesday afternoon, the 14th, we get another very ordinary window. The swell is tiny, 1ft from the SE with a 9-second period and weak energy (59). But the wind is offshore from the WNW, so it's clean. You can paddle, but you won't be surfing.
The only highlight, and it's a small one, is that Thursday the 9th. The swell is small and weak, but that cross-off wind will make it the cleanest option of this whole forecast.
Then on Saturday, July 18th afternoon, there's a faint pulse of 0.6ft from the ESE with a very long period of 13 seconds. The combined energy is weak (54). It's surfable in a clean light cross-off, but it's barely there.
So yeah, it's pretty flat. The Wall is inconsistent at the best of times, and this run is a real dud. Could it change? Sure, but right now, it's a hard pass.
Rusty.
