Table - best surf conditions forecast for Arrawarra over the next 16 days.
Alright, let’s break down what’s coming for Arrawarra. The first few days are pretty quiet, but the second week has some real muscle.
The early part is slow. Saturday morning the 11th is the best of the first week – it’s glassy with a clean 4ft SE swell at 10 seconds, and combined energy of 513. That’s a nice, calm window for a point break that likes E swell. Water temp is about 68° – pretty average for this time of year.
Then it goes flat from Sunday morning through to the middle of the week. The waves are tiny and messy. Don’t bother from the 12th to the 15th.
Things pick up on Thursday the 16th, but it’s a bit wild. A strong SSE swell with cross-off wind, and by the afternoon you’re looking at a 10ft swell (10 seconds) with 3040 combined energy. It’s big, but the wind is messy and the quality is marginal. For the experienced only.
The standout period is the weekend of the 18th and 19th. Saturday the 18th has a massive 20ft SSE swell with a 13-second period and 18514 combined energy. That’s huge – but it’s too big for this break. Sunday morning the 19th is the real deal: a 15ft SSE swell (13 seconds) with light S wind and 6903 combined energy. The conditions are exceptional for expert surfers. This is a long-period groundswell, so it’ll be best at the point and reef, but the power is serious.
After that, the swell drops back through the 20th and 21st, with Tuesday morning the 21st offering a clean, glassy 6ft SE swell (10 seconds) and 723 combined energy – that’s a solid, fun size for a point break.
The last few days show a gradual fade.
So, the best on offer is Saturday morning the 11th for a clean, gentle session, and then Sunday morning the 19th if you’re an expert after a serious, powerful groundswell. The 19th is the standout – but it’s a long way out, so keep an eye on the forecasts.
