Table - best surf conditions forecast for Surfers Point over the next 16 days.

Alright, this is Rusty. Let's talk about the surf coming up for Surfers Point.

We're looking at a solid run of south-west groundswell over the next couple of weeks. It's a reef break that's well exposed, and the optimum swell direction is west-south-west, which is bang on for what we've got coming. The water temp is about average for this time of year, so a standard 3/2 wetsuit will do the job if you're fussy, or a spring suit if you're tough.

The first proper window kicks off on the morning of Friday the 10th. It's not the best, though. We've got a 5ft WSW swell with a clean 14-second period, but the wind is cross-onshore from the SSW at 9 mph, making it pretty choppy. The combined energy is moderate (1732). Friday afternoon stays messy with a 6ft SW swell and cross-shore winds. It's a marginal call.

Saturday the 11th brings a bigger pulse. The swell jumps to 10ft in the morning, but it's still cross-shore wind from the south at 9 mph. That's a lot of water (3021 energy) for a messy surface. The wind stays cross-shore all day. This is getting into expert territory size-wise, but the conditions aren't doing it any favours. Sunday the 12th is more of the same—10ft swell but cross-onshore wind—so the quality is lacking.

Now, here's where it gets interesting. The standout for the whole outlook is Monday the 13th. The swell is a solid 13ft from the SW with a very long 16-second period. That's a lot of energy (7319) and it's a proper groundswell. The wind is a light south-easterly at just 6 mph, keeping it clean with only small wind ripples. The forecast says "excellent conditions for experienced surfers," and that's exactly what it is. This is the one to circle. The reef will handle that long period beautifully, and it'll be a serious session for the crew who can handle it. The morning look is best. The afternoon drops a little but stays clean.

Tuesday the 14th is another beauty. The swell drops to 12ft, but we get a cross-offshore breeze from the NE at 6 mph. That's clean as a whistle. The forecast says "excellent conditions for experienced surfers" again. It's a slightly smaller day than Monday, but still a top-tier option.

The middle of the week on the 15th and 16th gets blown out by strong winds and some rain, so we'll move on.

The next big session is Sunday the 19th. The wind is forecast to be glassy—absolutely flat calm—with a 13ft SW swell in the morning. The forecast says "exceptional for expert surfers." That's a dream. The 12-second period is a little shorter than the previous standouts, but with glassy conditions and that much power, it's hard to beat. The crowd will be a factor here, as it's a well-known spot, so get out early.

The final true standout lands on Saturday the 25th. That's a long way out, so take it with a grain of salt, but it looks promising. An 12ft SW swell with a very long 17-second period, combined with a light cross-offshore NNE breeze at 3 mph. The forecast is "exceptional for expert surfers." The energy is huge (7402). If this holds, it will be a very clean, powerful, and rewarding day for the experienced crew.

In summary, the two best bets are Monday the 13th, and Sunday the 19th. The 13th has the longer period and more energy, but the 19th has the glassy wind. Both are for experts only. There are a few other clean days in between, like the 22nd and 24th, but they're smaller and not the main event.

Stay safe out there.
