Alright, let’s switch it up for our imperial folk. Rusty here again, same story, different numbers.
Lookin’ at White Crest Beach for the next 16 days, and I gotta say, it’s a quiet spell. From now through Sunday the 6th, we’ve got nothing but tiny slop – waves under 1 foot, and most of the time the wind is messin’ things up. There’s a glassy window Friday afternoon the 3rd, but the swell’s just too weak to matter. It’s a long, flat gap.
Monday the 7th brings a bump, but it’s not the kind you want. Tuesday the 7th afternoon sees 6-foot waves from the ESE, but with a short 7-second period and a heavy 28 mph wind from the NE, it’s gonna be blown-out and messy. Combined energy hits 313 (moderate), but you’d be better off with a kite. Wednesday the 8th stays lumpy with onshore wind and 4-foot swell. A few clean moments pop up later, like Thursday the 9th morning with 3-foot waves and a light offshore breeze – just “surfable but very ordinary.” The best we got is Thursday morning the 16th: 3-foot from the SSE, 9-second period, clean offshore wind from the WNW, and combined energy of 137 (moderate). It’s small, clean, and okay for a beginner. The water is 66°, a touch warmer than average for July 4th week.
There ain’t any standout swell here. No groundswell, no real juice. If you’re a beginner, Thursdays might give you a ride or two. For everyone else, it’s a lean stretch. Forecasts can change, but right now, it’s a waiting game.
Rusty.
