Table - best surf conditions forecast for Heavens over the next 16 days.
Alright, let me break this down for you. We’re looking at a pretty extended run here, but I gotta be straight with you—there’s no real standout surf in this 16-day window. The break we’ve got to work with is Heavens, and it’s a beginner-friendly, very consistent spot that’s exposed to the southwest. It’s a reliable little wave when conditions line up, but across this whole stretch, the scores are low across the board.
Starting off, we’ve got a bit of swell on Wednesday the 8th of July—pushing around 3ft from the SSW with a long 16-second period (groundswell). The combined energy is moderate (513 in the morning, 446 in the afternoon), but the wind is cross-on or cross, and the wave comment says marginal surf. It’s not terrible for a beginner if you’re keen, but it’s pretty chopped up. Thursday the 9th stays similar—3ft dropping to 3ft, still SSW, with a light offshore wind in the afternoon that cleans it up a touch. But again, marginal surf ratings.
Friday the 10th through Sunday the 12th sees the swell drop a bit (3ft), period easing from 16 down to 14 seconds, and the winds stay cross-on or onshore for the most part. Energy drops into the 200s–300s. Some afternoon offshore spells pop up, but the water temp is about average for this time of year, nothing weird. Honestly, nothing’s really lighting up.
Then from Monday the 13th through the end of the first week, the swell fades significantly—2ft to 1ft by the 16th. Periods are all over the place, but the energy is weak (mostly below 200). Winds are light but often cross or onshore. These are poor surf conditions, plain and simple. For a beginner wave, it might still be paddle practice, but it’s not worth getting excited about.
The second week doesn’t get much better. There’s a little bump around Saturday the 18th and Sunday the 19th—swell picks to 2ft from the SW with long periods (17–18 seconds), energy climbs into the 400s, but the winds are mostly cross-on or cross, and the comments stay poor. On Monday the 20th we see a bigger pulse—4ft from the S, 13-second period, energy hitting 548 in the morning and 590 in the afternoon. That’s the biggest swell of the entire run. But the wind is cross-on in the morning and cross in the afternoon with a moderate breeze. Still only rated marginal. For a beginner, 4ft is doable, but it’s not super clean. The rest of the week trails off again—2ft and weaker energy.
Look, the overall pattern is flat to small, with only that Monday 20th of July offering a bit more size. But even then, the wind and chop keep it from being a true standout. If you’re determined to get wet, the best window is probably Thursday 9th afternoon with a light offshore—you’ll get clean little 3ft waves on a long period. Other than that, it’s a long gap of poor to marginal days.
So no fireworks here, folks. Keep an eye on the forecasts—things can change, but for now, it’s a quiet spell.
