Rusty here again, same stretch, different units.
Alright, Jetty isn’t offering much. For the first week plus, it’s mostly small and messy – not a lot for a surfer to sink his rails into.
Starting Saturday the 4th with a tiny 1ft SE swell and a cross-off breeze in the morning, but it’s still poor surf. That afternoon gets worse with a cross-on wind. Sunday and Monday stay small and weak, with onshore or cross-on breezes.
Monday the 6th brings a bump in swell to about 5ft from the east, but a strong cross-onshore wind at 25 mph messes it up. The combined energy is moderate (171-258), but honestly, that’s more of a kiteboarding day than a surfing one.
Tuesday the 7th sees the wind turn cross-off from the NE, cleaning the surface nicely. Swell is still short-period (7 seconds) and around 5ft. Energy is moderate, but the wave comment still says poor – just not enough oomph.
From Wednesday the 8th through Friday the 10th, the swell drops under 3ft with cross or cross-on winds. Not worth it.
Your only real chance is Saturday the 11th morning: a 3ft S swell with light offshore NE wind, clean but weak. The wave comment calls it “surfable but very ordinary.” That’s as good as it gets.
After that, it’s back to tiny, weak swell and messy wind through the rest of the 16 days. A few clean mornings mid-week, but the swell is so small you’ll be chasing barely rideable bumps.
So no standout days. Saturday 11th morning is your best bet, but keep the expectations low. It won’t stay poor forever, but right now, it’s a waiting game.
Rusty.
