Alright, Rusty here. Let's chew the fat on this one.
To be honest, this 16-day outlook for Chicahauk is a real bummer. There's a big gap of nothing at the start, and it takes a while before anything even close to rideable pops up.
The first few days are a total washout. You finally get a whiff of something on Friday the 10th, but it's just "surfable" with very ordinary conditions. We're talking waves barely 2 feet from the SSE with a short 8-second period and weak energy. It's not going to get the heart racing.
The same old story rolls through the weekend. Small swell, not much power. Sunday the 12th morning might be your best bet, with the biggest swell of the period so far at 3 feet from the NE. The period is a short 6 seconds, but the wind is a clean offshore from the WSW. The energy reading is a moderate 66. It's a tiny, weak wave that might be fun for a longboard if you're really keen.
Into the second week, Tuesday the 14th morning looks similar. The same 2 feet from the ENE with a clean offshore wind from the WSW at 15 mph. The energy is up a bit to 76, but it's still a very small wave.
Honestly, there's no standout day in this whole outlook. The swell just never gets the size or the juice. If you're itching to paddle out, aim for the morning of Saturday, July 12th, or Tuesday, July 14th. Those are the most promising, with the biggest, cleanest conditions, but it's still only knee-high surf. The northeast direction isn't ideal for this spot either, as it likes an east swell.
For the rest of the two weeks, you're looking at a lot of poor surf and ordinary conditions. Don't get your hopes up.
