Table - best surf conditions forecast for Toes Over over the next 16 days.
Alright folks, Rusty here. Let’s have a look at what’s cookin’ at Toes Over (beach/jetty). The water temp is sittin’ at a touch warmer than normal for this time of year, comin’ in at 67°.
Honestly, the next week and a half looks pretty dead. After a slow start, we got a long flat patch stretchin' from Wednesday morning all the way through to Saturday the 19th of July. You’re lookin’ at energy readings barely crackin’ three digits, with a weak 113 to 308 (combined energy of all swells directed here) for most of that run. Swells are tiny, 1ft to 2ft, and while the periods are long and juicy (14 to 19 seconds), there’s just not enough push. Winds are mostly light and either onshore or cross-onshore, keepin' things lookin' ordinary. There’s a brief glimpse on Thursday the 16th afternoon with a light cross-offshore breeze, and again on Friday the 17th afternoon with a glassy session, but the waves are still only 1ft. Surfable but very ordinary.
Now, listen up, because there’s a sniff of life later. The highlight – the only true standout in the whole 16-day window – is the morning of Sunday, the 19th of July. That morning, the energy jumps to a solid 1126 (combined energy of all swells directed here), with a 4ft swell from the SSE at 17 seconds. Winds are light and onshore but light enough to not trash it entirely. This is a long period groundswell, and on this beach/jetty setup, it might be a little too straight, but with that energy, you’ll get some proper power. It's lookin’ like the best on offer, though it's over a week away, so keep your fingers crossed.
After that, Monday the 20th still holds some moderate energy around 785 to 632, with 4 to 4ft swell, but the wind starts to turn cross-onshore again, and the period drops. Tuesday the 21st backslides into the same old weak, onshore stuff.
So, if you’re desperate for a paddle, Sunday the 19th morning is your shot. The rest? Not worth wetting the wetsuit for. Once the swell picks up past 5ft later on, it might get too chunky for beginners, but the quality’s just not there.
Signin’ off, Rusty.
