Table - best surf conditions forecast for Toes Over over the next 16 days.
Alright, let me have a look at this. The first thing that jumps out is that the surf outlook for Toes-Over is honestly pretty bleak for the coming days. We have a long stretch here where it's just not happening. From the start of the outlook on July 10th, right through to the morning of July 19th, the wave quality is consistently rated as poor. That's a solid nine-day gap with nothing worth paddling out for. The swell is tiny, mostly around 1 ft to 2 ft, and while the winds are often light, the wave energy is weak. For example, the combined energy on July 10th is only 210, and it stays in that weak to moderate range for ages. Conditions are just flat and messy.
When we finally get a flicker of hope, it's on the morning of Sunday, July 19th. The swell bumps up to a clean-looking 3 ft from the SSE with a period of 15 seconds. That's a nice long-period groundswell moving in. The combined energy jumps to 545, which is solidly moderate and the best we've seen. The wind is light and directly onshore from the SSW, which is a bit of a letdown for cleanliness, but the water temp is a notable 68°F, a full 4° warmer than usual for this time of year. That much warmer than normal water is something you'll feel. However, even with that bump, the forecast still calls it marginal. It's the only real stand-out in the whole 16-day window, but it's not a guarantee.
After that, we slide back into poor conditions with small, weak swells through the rest of July. The morning of July 25th shows another little pulse of 2 ft from the SSE with a 12-second period and combined energy of 311. Winds are light and cross-onshore from the S, which isn't terrible, but again it's marked as marginal. It's not going to be the day to clear the diary.
Honestly, for a spot called Toes-Over, it's living up to the name in all the wrong ways. There's just no consistent surf on the cards for the next two and a half weeks. The only real chance to get wet is on that Sunday, July 19th morning, but keep your expectations low.
