Table - best surf conditions forecast for Toes Over over the next 16 days.
Alright, Rusty here. Let’s break down what’s happening at Toes Over.
To be honest, it’s looking pretty flat and blown out for the next couple of weeks. The water is 69°F, which is a lot warmer than usual for this time of year – a real 5°F anomaly, so that’s something.
Starting Sunday the 12th, we’ve got a weak 2ft swell from the SSW with a 14-second period. The combined energy is only 210, and the wind is onshore. It’s poor. This pattern sticks around – Monday the 13th, Tuesday the 14th, Wednesday the 15th – all tiny, choppy, and onshore. Swell stays between 1ft and 2ft, and the energy is weak. Nothing to get excited about for the first week.
We finally see a little bump on Saturday the 18th. The morning brings 3ft from the SSE with a 15-second period, and the combined energy hits 590 (moderate). The wind is a light cross-onshore, just a slight breeze. It’s still only marginal, but it’s the first real pulse. The afternoon gets worse with onshore wind. Sunday the 19th back to poor.
The second week is more of the same. Monday the 20th through Thursday the 23rd – all poor or marginal, with onshore winds and tiny swell. The energy stays moderate, but the wind ruins it.
The best chance in this whole 16-day window is Saturday the 25th and Friday the 24th. On Friday the 24th, we get a 4ft to 4ft swell from the S with a 15-second period, combined energy 558 to 679 (moderate), but the wind is onshore. Saturday the 25th morning has 4ft from the S with a 12-second period, combined energy 475, and light cross-onshore wind. It’s still marginal, but it’s the biggest, most energetic swell of the period. That’s your best bet, but don’t expect clean waves.
It’s a rough stretch for Toes Over. The wind is never favorable, and the swell is small. The only real standout is that Saturday the 25th, and even then, it’s a gamble.
Rusty.
