Table - best surf conditions forecast for Marlin over the next 16 days.
Mate, I gotta be straight with you – this stretch is looking grim. Over the next 16 days, Marlin is basically a write-off. There's not a single decent session on the cards. The forecast throws up a few marginal windows, but they're all too messy to get excited about.
The first few days are a real letdown: Sunday the 12th and Monday the 13th have tiny, weak swell around 2ft to 3ft, with a cross-onshore breeze that's going to leave it bumpy and average. The water temp is sitting at 79°F and that's about normal for this time of year, so no surprises there.
Midweek, things get a bit bigger but the wind stays ugly. Tuesday the 14th is still small and weak, but by Wednesday the 15th, the swell jumps to 8ft out of the SSE with a short period of 8 seconds. That's a lot of water moving – the combined energy hits 730 (moderate wave energy) – but it's coming in with a fresh cross-onshore wind, so it's going to be a lumpy, blown-out mess. Too big for beginners, and not clean enough for anyone else.
Thursday the 16th and Friday the 17th keep that energy up – 6ft to 8ft with combined energy climbing into the thousands (strong wave energy) – but it's all cross-on or onshore wind, making it hopeless for anything but maybe a kite session if you're into that. The swell direction is SSE to SE, but the wind is ruining it.
The second week rolls on with the same story: solid swell heights, but the wind either stays onshore or cross-onshore, and the period is short (8 seconds). The spots are getting consistent wave energy, but the quality just isn't there. The only "marginal" tags come on the 18th, 22nd, 23rd, and 26th, but with that wind, it's not worth paddling out for.
Honestly, there's no standout, no hidden gem, no session to save your weekend. The forecast is a blank run for quality surf. It's a tough one, but sometimes the ocean just doesn't play ball. Keep an eye on the charts – it tends not to stay this poor for long.
