Table - best surf conditions forecast for Lambe Lambe over the next 16 days.
Alright folks, Rusty here. Let’s have a look at what’s coming up for Lambe Lambe.
So, this is a bit of a mixed bag for the next couple of weeks. We’ve got a rare-breaks point break that’s pretty exposed to the east, but it’s one of those spots that doesn’t go off often. The first proper window is looking like a bit of a slow starter, but there are some absolute gems tucked in there if you’re patient.
Friday morning, July 10th, is a weird one to kick things off. We’ve got glassy conditions with a tiny 2ft ESE swell, but the water is a stunning 61°F – that’s a huge 5°F colder than normal, so you’ll be needing a thick suit. The energy is weak (210), so it’s really just a splash around. Not the highlight.
By Friday afternoon, the wind swings offshore from the SSW at 6 mph, and the swell bumps up to 3ft from the ESE with a nice 12-second period. The energy is moderate (303) now, and it’s clean. That’s a pretty good little session for a Friday arvo.
Sunday, July 12th, is where we start to see some real potential. The morning is clean with a cross-offshore breeze and a 4ft ESE swell (12 seconds). The energy is solid (512). But the standout is Sunday afternoon: a strong 4ft S swell, 11-second period, and a clean offshore wind from the SSE at 12 mph. The energy is pumping (731). That’s your best bet for the first week – clean, punchy, and not too big for intermediates.
The next few days are a write-off until Monday, July 20th. That’s a full week of onshore or cross-shore muck. But come Monday morning, we’ve got a fresh offshore breeze from the south at 9 mph, with a 5ft ENE swell. The energy is moderate (289) and it’s clean. Monday afternoon looks even better: 5ft ENE swell, southerly offshore at 12 mph, and the energy is climbing (326). That’s another one to circle.
The next big moment is Thursday, July 23rd, in the afternoon. The wind turns into a light cross-offshore from the ESE, and the swell is a clean 3ft from the south with a 10-second period. The energy is solid (309). It’s clean and small – perfect for a longboard.
Then, on Friday, July 24th, the afternoon is a total sleeper. Glassy conditions, a 4ft S swell with a very long 13-second period, and moderate energy (486). That’s a serious session for a point break – long, lined-up waves and no wind. The water is still cold, but the surface will be like glass.
Looking further out, Saturday, July 25th, is going to be a proper test. The morning brings a 7ft S swell with a short 8-second period, and a moderate offshore from the south at 12 mph. The energy is strong (541). That’s getting into expert territory – over 6ft, it’s for the experienced crew only. The short period means it’ll be a bit lumpy, but the offshore wind will clean it up for the competent. The afternoon drops to 6ft, still clean, but still a handful.
So, to sum it up: the absolute best windows are Sunday afternoon, July 12th and Friday afternoon, July 24th. Both have clean offshore or glassy conditions, solid swell energy, and a direction that lines up with the optimum. The 24th has that long, drawn-out groundswell that will be a dream on the point. The 12th is punchier and more accessible. Get on them.
Rusty.
