Table - best surf conditions forecast for Jax Beach Pier over the next 16 days.
Alright, it’s your man Rusty here. Let’s be straight with you: for the next 16 days, Jax Beach Pier is in a real flat spell. There’s just nothing doing for the entire outlook. The first few days are a write-off, and honestly, that run of tiny or no surf stretches all the way through. We’re talking a long gap with no recommendations at all.
The water temp is sitting at 85° right now, which is about normal for this time of year, so nothing weird there.
From Thursday, July 9th, right through to the end, it’s all small, weak, and messy. The biggest bump we see is a 4ft swell from the SE on the afternoon of July 9th, but with a terrible 4-second period and a cross-shore wind, it’s just crumbly junk. The combined energy is a measly 44, so there’s no power behind it. The whole period is plagued by short-period, weak swells and mostly onshore or cross winds. Even when the wind goes offshore or glassy, like on the morning of July 13th, the swell is just 1ft and weak. The only flicker of something surfable but ordinary is the morning of July 15th with a 1ft swell and a slightly better 9-second period, but it’s still barely a ripple.
The last week of the outlook is even worse, with several days showing zero combined energy. July 18th, 20th, 23rd, and 24th afternoons are all flat. With the swell being this small, the beach/pier setup is not doing us any favors. Honestly, if you’re desperate for a paddle, you’d be better off with a kite on a day like July 24th afternoon when the wind is pumping 19 mph cross-shore, but it’s not for surfers.
Plain and simple: there’s nothing to get excited about. The whole 16-day window is a bust for Jax Beach Pier. Hang loose and hope the forecasts change.
