Table - best surf conditions forecast for Dawlish Warren over the next 16 days.
Alright, let me look over the charts for the next couple of weeks. To be straight with you, this is a tough stretch. I'm seeing a whole lot of nothing for the vast majority of the sixteen-day window. There are no good surf options on offer here, mate. We're looking at a long, flat spell, so if you're itching for a paddle, you might be better off finding a lake or just taking a break.
The first recommendation doesn't appear until the 21st of July, and even then it's tiny. Dawlish Warren is inconsistent at the best of times, and this run is a prime example. The water temp is a very unusual 65°, much warmer than normal for this time of year, which is something, but it won't help the waves.
From now through to the 20th, it's a full blank run. The sea is just not giving us anything. We see a bit of a spike on the 13th with a 7ft swell from the ESE, but the wind is onshore and choppy, and the combined energy is strong (410), but the quality is just poor. That setup would be more interesting for kite surfing than for a traditional paddle session. It's just messy. Later in the week, we get some clean, offshore mornings, but the swell is virtually non-existent, barely a ripple.
Now, the only bright spot is the morning of the 21st of July. It's not much, but it's the best we've got. On Tuesday the 21st, Dawlish Warren looks like it might finally offer a wave. A clean 2ft swell with an offshore wind from the NNW, and the combined energy is a very weak 19. It's a beginner-level wave at best, and it's an inconsistent spot, so you'll be waiting for set. But those offshore conditions will make it look clean as a whistle. If you're desperate for a glide on a longboard, that's your window. The swell direction is from the SW, which matches the optimum for this sheltered spot, so it might just wrap in okay.
So, to wrap it up: a long, long wait for a tiny, clean wave. Don't get your hopes up for anything else in this window. The forecasts can always change, but right now, it's a waiting game.
Rusty.
