Table - best surf conditions forecast for Wembury over the next 16 days.
Alright folks, Rusty here. Let’s be honest right off the bat: this is a tough one. The next couple of weeks are looking pretty flat for Wembury, a point break that's usually a bit of a gamble given it's "inconsistent" anyway. Right now, the water is sitting at 64°, which is a touch warmer than normal for this time of year, but that’s about the only thing worth celebrating.
We're looking at a long, dry spell. From Thursday the 9th all the way through to the afternoon of Wednesday the 16th, every single report is basically "poor surf conditions" with tiny, weak swell. There's nothing to get excited about.
The first real glimmer of hope comes on the afternoon of Thursday the 16th. The wind goes glassy, dead calm, but the swell is a pathetic 3ft from the WSW with a period of only 4 seconds. The combined energy is a measly 46, so it’s weak. It’s surfable, but the conditions are described as "very ordinary." Honestly, it’s a last resort session.
The morning of Friday the 17th is the best on offer. We get a 3ft swell from the WSW with a 6-second period, and a clean cross-offshore wind from the NW. Combined energy is 94, still weak but it’s the most we’ve got. It’s small and clean, but it’s a beginner-friendly wave. Nothing special.
After that, it’s back to tiny, weak, and mostly choppy or cross-shore junk for the rest of the forecast. The morning of Monday the 20th offers a gentle offshore breeze from the NNE with a 1ft WSW swell, but that’s barely a ripple.
There’s not a single standout session in the whole 16-day window. This is a classic blank run for the area, and forecasts can always change, but right now, you’d be better off checking the tides or doing something else.
Rusty, signing off.
