Table - best surf conditions forecast for Tiririca over the next 16 days.
Alright, let me look at what we’ve got for the next couple of weeks. This is a classic run of small, clean windows and a few bigger, messier days. The good news is, there’s some solid swell on the horizon, but you’re gonna have to pick your moments.
We’re starting off with a bit of a tease at Tiririca. Thursday afternoon (July 9th) has some waist-high SE swell, around 4ft, with a 12-second period. The energy is sitting at 319 – moderate. The wind is a light easterly, which is cross-onshore, so the surface will be a bit bumpy. The water is a warm 79°, and it’s pretty average for this time of year. Honestly, Thursday is a pass.
Friday morning (July 10th) is the first real window. Cleaner conditions with a light southerly cross-offshore breeze, 3ft of SE swell, and 340 energy. It’s small, but it’ll be glassy. That’s the pick of the first few days.
Saturday morning (July 11th) has a bit more push – 4ft from the SE, period 13 seconds, and energy ramps up to 518 (moderate). Wind is light northerly, so it’s side-shore. It’s surfable but nothing to write home about.
Then things get a bit average. From Sunday through to Wednesday the 15th, the swell stays small or drops, and we get a mix of wind and rain showers. Thursday the 16th is flat as a tack.
Now here’s where it gets interesting, but it’s a two-week wait. Monday, July 20th sees a solid jump: 7ft of ESE swell, but the period is a short 8 seconds. The energy is 618 (strong). The wind is cross-onshore, so it’ll be a bit lumpy. This one’s for the bigger gear and maybe more kite territory than clean surfing.
The real standout, and I mean the one to circle, is Tuesday morning, July 21st. We’ve got 7ft of ESE swell, period still 8 seconds, but the combined energy is 660 (strong). The wind is a light SSW cross-offshore, and conditions are described as clean. This is the biggest, cleanest window in the whole forecast. At 7ft, this is for competent surfers – beginners will find it a handful.
Following that, Wednesday morning, July 22nd is another beauty. 6ft from the ESE, with a light southerly breeze making it glassy. Energy is 500 (moderate). This is your second-best option.
Thursday morning, July 23rd keeps the run going: 6ft of ESE swell, cross-offshore wind, and energy of 592. It’s consistent and clean.
After that, the swell drops back to chest-high by Friday the 24th, with side-shore wind and less energy.
Best on the menu: No question, it’s Tuesday morning, July 21st. The biggest swell, clean wind, and strong energy. Just be aware the short 8-second period means it’ll be a bit punchy and walled-up. Wednesday morning, July 22nd is the runner-up, with slightly smaller but still clean and solid waves.
Overall, it’s a slow start, a quiet middle, but a cracking run of swell and wind from the 21st to the 23rd. If you can wait for it, it’ll be worth it.
Rusty.
