Updates in hr min s Forecast update imminent
Alright mate, let’s see what Puttsborough is serving up.
Water temp is normal for this time of year, nothing weird going on.
First week is a tough one. From Monday the 6th through Thursday the 9th, it’s all tiny 1ft to 1ft swells, cross-onshore breezes, and weak combined energy (23 to 44). Choppy, messy, not worth your time. Wednesday the 8th morning goes glassy, but with hardly any bump, it’s a pool, not a break. That whole stretch is a bust.
Friday the 10th is the best you’ll get in the first week. Swell nudges up to 2ft from the west, and by afternoon the wind swings offshore or cross-offshore, giving clean lines. Energy is still low at 58, but the light breeze and clean face make it rideable for beginners or anyone on a log. That’s your window.
From Saturday the 11th to Thursday the 16th, it’s back to flat – waves from 0.3ft to 1ft, with some super long periods (19 to 21 seconds) that sound cool but deliver nothing. Winds are often clean and offshore, which is nice, but the ocean is asleep. Energy readings drop as low as 10. It’s a blank run.
Friday the 17th sees a 3ft west swell with a short 6-second period and 64 energy, but onshore winds wreck it. Still poor.
The big standout is Saturday the 19th. Swell hits 6ft from the WNW with a 7-second period, combined energy at 325 – that’s some real power. But the wind is onshore and strong, making it a raw, blown-out mess. Only for experts, and even then, it’s a battle. Beginners, stay on the sand.
Sunday the 20th and Monday the 21st keep the 4ft to 5ft range with onshore winds and moderate energy (130 to 183). Still not clean, still not recommended.
So overall: the pick of the whole 16 days is Friday the 10th afternoon for clean, knee-high fun. The only time it gets big is Saturday the 19th, but that’s a windy, nasty one for experts only.
First five days are flat, then another gap from the 11th to the 16th. That’s a lot of quiet time. But it’s never dead forever – forecasts can flip.
Rusty.
