The Lowdown

Alright, Rusty here again, translating for those who think in feet and knots.

We're looking at a pretty quiet outlook for Port Eynon Point over the next couple of weeks. This place is inconsistent by nature, so a run of small, junky days isn't a shocker.

There's a big gap of nothing worth paddling for from Saturday the 15th right through to the morning of Thursday the 20th. Small, messy, onshore slop. You'd be dodging cross-chop for waist-high dribble.

Thursday the 20th sees the swell hit about 5ft, with energy picking up, but it's paired with a fresh, lumpy cross-onshore. A mess for paddling, might be more interesting for the kite crew.

First real chance is Friday the 21st morning. Clean conditions with a gentle offshore breeze. Swell is tiny, only about 3ft from the WSW with a short period, but at least it's clean. You could scratch into a few.

Then we hit another dry spell until Monday the 24th. That morning is the standout. The wind goes glassy, and there's a pulse of chest-high swell, around 4-5ft from the WSW. The energy is solid and the glassy surface makes this the cleanest wave of the entire run. It's a short window though; the afternoon gets chopped up.

Looking further out, Tuesday the 25th morning offers the biggest swell of the forecast: a solid 6-7ft from the WSW with a light offshore. That's expert territory, and the quality is uncertain this far out.

After that, it fades back to small, windy, or clean but knee-high conditions through to the end of the month. The morning of Sunday the 30th has a clean 6ft swell, but that's a long way off.

Your best bet is that glassy morning on Monday the 24th. Tuesday the 25th has the size, but it's a long-range gamble.
