The Lowdown
Right then, let's have a look at what's cookin' for Courtown. I've got the next 16 days laid out here, and I'll be honest with you, it's a bit of a quiet spell. We're looking at a long stretch with barely a ripple to get excited about.
The whole 16-day window is mostly a write-off for any decent paddle surfing. The combined energy is 60, which is still weak, but here's the thing: the wind is offshore from the northwest at 9 mph, keeping it clean. That gentle offshore wind is a major positive for a spot that has seen nothing but flatness. It's the best on offer, but it's still a far cry from pumping. For an intermediate, it might just be a fun little session if you're desperate for a paddle.
Other than that, the rest of the days in the second week are showing poor surf conditions or flat spells. A couple of mornings on the 24th have offshore wind, but again, with only 0.3ft of swell, there's nothing to ride. It's a long, quiet period, so keep an eye on the forecast, but for now, leave the board in the car.
