Table - best surf conditions forecast for Harlyn over the next 16 days.
Alright, it’s a grim stretch ahead, I’m not gonna sugarcoat it. The whole 16-day window is one big dud for Harlyn. Nothing worth paddling out for.
Right now and for the next ten days or so, the swell is tiny – mostly knee-high or smaller – and the wind is all over the place. The energy is pathetic, with combined swell energy readings bouncing around a measly 20 to 90 (weak energy). There's nothing with any punch. The water temperature is a notable 64°, which is much warmer than normal for the time of year, but that’s not much comfort when you’re staring at flat, choppy leftovers.
We finally see a bit of a pulse show up on July 21st (Tuesday), with a clean cross-off wind and a 5ft swell from the WNW, energy jumping to 194 (moderate). But even then, the surf quality is rated poor, so it’s not going to be anything to write home about. The afternoon gets messy with a 5ft swell but lumpy cross-shore wind. Not the one.
The only real standout—if you can call it that—hits on Saturday, July 25th. The swell pumps up to 10ft from the WNW, with a combined energy of 1274 (strong). That’s big. But here’s the catch: that’s serious size, expert-only territory, and it’s coming with moderate cross-shore winds. It’s a wild, powerful, chunky ocean. If you’re a seasoned charger with a big-wave gun, you might get some thrills, but for most of us, it’s a skip. The period is only 9 seconds, so it’ll be a bit lumpy and lack the real groundswell glide.
Honestly, mate, the surf quality is shot for the whole forecast. The break is inconsistent and sheltered, and the conditions never line up right. It’s a bleak run.
