Alright folks, it's Rusty here. Let's have a look at what's coming up for Harlyn.
To be straight with you, this is a pretty grim stretch. We've got a long run of very ordinary to poor conditions on the cards, with no real standout windows to get excited about. The swell is small and the wind is mostly rubbish, so you're going to be waiting a while.
The first hint of anything surfable is Friday morning, July 3rd. We've got a 4ft swell rolling in from the west with a period around 10 seconds, and combined energy sitting at a weak 335. The water's a touch warmer than normal at 63°, which is a couple of degrees above what you'd expect for this time of year. The morning wind is light cross-off from the southwest, and it's clean, so if you're desperate for a paddle, it's about the best you'll get. But honestly, it's ordinary.
From there, it gets worse. Saturday the 4th through to almost the middle of the month is a write-off. We're looking at a mix of onshore and cross-shore winds, small choppy waves, and combined energy dropping as low as 38. By Tuesday the 14th, there's a brief glimpse of something better – a glassy morning on the 14th with a 2ft swell and a little more energy at 134, but it's still tiny and the wind turns cross-on by the afternoon.
The biggest push of swell comes right at the end of the run, on Saturday the 18th of July. We've got a 7ft swell from the west-northwest with an 8-second period, and combined energy jumping to a strong 589. But here's the kicker – the wind is blowing a solid 16 mph onshore from the north. That's messy, choppy, and looks more like a kite-surfing session than a paddle-surfing one. For the experienced crew, it might offer some big, blown-out walls, but it's not user-friendly.
So, the bottom line: there's nothing here that I'd call a standout. It's a long, flat, windy outlook. Hang in there, and hopefully the forecasts change.
