Table - best surf conditions forecast for Dreamtime over the next 16 days.
Alright, folks, Rusty here. Let’s break down Dreamtime.
Water temp is 70°F, right where it should be for this time of year, so no need to worry about a cold one.
We start slow. Friday the 10th is a mess – a 7ft swell from the SSE but cross-shore wind and a combined energy of 1980 (moderate) means it’s choppy and too big for this spot. Skip it.
Saturday morning, the 11th, is the real gem. Glassy conditions, light S wind, and a clean 5ft SE swell with a 10-second period. Energy is still moderate (587) but the offshore wind and clean face make this the best session of the whole forecast.
Sunday the 12th is still decent. Swell drops to 4ft from the SE, but a solid NW offshore breeze at 12 mph keeps things clean. The energy is weaker (287) but the waves are fun and tidy.
From Monday the 13th onward, it’s a long dry spell. Swell sizes fall below 3ft, energy drops into the weak range (under 100), and the wind turns onshore. There’s a few glassy moments, but the swell is too small to be worth it. Expect several days of nothing much.
Looking ahead, Monday the 20th shows a bit of promise. A glassy morning with a 5ft E swell (10-second period) and a combined energy of 519 (moderate). Calm wind, clean conditions, and a favorable offshore direction. It’s a long way out, so keep an eye on it, but it’s the next real chance.
Thursday the 23rd and Friday the 24th are tiny – 2ft swells, weak energy, and not worth paddling out for.
Bottom line: Saturday morning the 11th is your winner. After that, you’re hoping for the 20th to deliver.
Rusty.
