Table - best surf conditions forecast for Casa Verde over the next 16 days.
Alright folks, Rusty here. Let's have a look at what we've got on offer.
Honestly, looking out over the next 16 days, it's a pretty grim stretch for Casa Verde. The wind is the main villain here, and it just won't let up. We've got a persistent E to ESE wind every morning, sitting cross-on or cross, and then switching to a strong onshore NE in the afternoons. That means choppy, bumpy, and generally poor conditions day in and day out. The swell is hanging around in the knee-to-waist high range mostly, with periods short and weak, so there's just no quality or energy to get excited about.
Starting from Sunday the 12th, the surf is a write-off. We've got a weak 4ft ENE swell with a tiny 5-second period and a combined energy of 83, being shredded by a 16 mph cross-onshore wind. It's just a mess. Monday and Tuesday are the same story, with the swell dropping even smaller. Through the rest of the first week and into the next, every single session is marked as "poor surf conditions." The wind stays stubbornly onshore or cross-onshore, and the swell never has any power behind it.
There's really no standout, no hidden gem here. The best we can say is that on Friday the 17th and Thursday the 23rd, the morning swell energy bumps up a little (167 and 147 respectively) as the period stretches to 7 seconds, but it's still small and the wind is still cross-on. For experienced surfers, there's nothing to chase; for beginners, the onshore wind makes it too messy to learn.
This is one of those blanks runs where you're better off leaving the board in the car. The setup here with the persistent cross-shore wind and small, weak swell honestly looks more interesting for a kite session than a paddle session. Keep an eye on the forecasts, though, it can't stay this way forever.
Rusty.
