Table - best surf conditions forecast for Jacaraipe over the next 16 days.
Alright, mate, Rusty here. Let’s have a look at what’s cooking for Jacaraipe over the next couple of weeks.
We’ve got a bit of a slow start, but the action kicks off this Saturday morning, July 11th. The stars align early with clear skies and a glassy 3 mph NNW breeze. The swell is a clean 4 ft from the SE, with a long period of 13 seconds, packing moderate energy (518). That long-period groundswell will wrap in nicely, offering well-shaped waves. Water temp is sitting at 74°, which is pretty much bang on average for this time of year. This is the standout session of the whole outlook – clean, smooth, and perfect for a beginner-friendly sandbar. Saturday afternoon, though, the wind swings SE to a light cross-onshore, and the quality drops right off.
Sunday, July 12th, is a write-off for decent waves. The morning has a moderate N wind at 12 mph, and even though the surf is clean, the waves are small and the energy is dropping.
Monday, July 13th, forget about it. Strong S winds at 19 mph and a short-period, choppy sea. The swell jumps to 5 ft to 6 ft, but with a period of only 6-7 seconds, it’s all wind-slop. This is more of a kite-surfing setup than a paddler’s paradise.
Tuesday, July 14th, the morning offers a brief window with a clean cross-off SSW wind and a moderate 4 ft SSE swell. The energy is solid (568), but the conditions are only marginal. By the afternoon, the wind picks up and the swell jumps to 6 ft, but that cross-shore breeze chops it up.
Wednesday, July 15th, we see the swell building to 7 ft from the SSE with strong energy (1158). But the wind is a steady cross-shore, and with that size, it’s getting too big for the beginners at this break. The chop makes it a tough session.
Now, here’s where it gets interesting for the bigger-wave crew. Thursday, July 16th, sees solid 7 ft SE swell with a 12-second period and a massive energy reading (1313 to 1683). The wind is light and cross-onshore, but the forecast honestly says this is predicted to be too big for Jacaraipe. That’s for experts only if they dare, but the break might just close out.
Friday, July 17th morning is a return to glory. Glassy conditions again, with a 3 mph NNW wind. The swell drops back to a more manageable 6 ft from the SE, period still a nice 12 seconds, and energy is still high (923). Expect very good surf conditions. This is your other real standout – clean, powerful waves.
After that, the outlook fades. From Saturday, July 18th, through to the end of the forecast period on July 26th, the surf gets smaller and the winds are mostly onshore or cross-onshore. The energy drops steadily, with values often below 300, and the waves shrink to under 3 ft. There’s a few clean mornings, like July 21st Tuesday with glassy conditions, but the swell is weak and short-period (7 seconds). Nothing to get excited about.
So, to wrap it up: your best bets are this Saturday morning, July 11th, and next Friday morning, July 17th. Get in the water early on those days for the cleanest lines.
Rusty.
