Updates in hr min s Forecast update imminent
Alright, Rusty here again. Let’s break down what’s happening at Jacaraipe over the next couple weeks in feet. It’s a bit of a stop-start forecast, but there are some sweet windows.
The first real highlight is Saturday morning, July 4th. We’ve got an easterly swell running at about 3-4ft, and the wind is dead glassy out of the WSW. That’s the kind of morning you dream of - clean, smooth, and all yours. Water temp is a comfortable 75°, right where it should be for this time of year. The sandbar can get crowded *sometimes*, so beat the rush.
The big standout is Saturday morning, July 11th. The swell pushes a bit to 4ft from the ESE, but the real story is the period: a fat 13 seconds. That’s proper groundswell with a lot of energy (491) behind it. A clean cross-offshore north wind will keep the faces lined up. For a beach break, that long period can make it a bit straight, but with those winds, it’s going to be your best shot at some real push.
Thursday morning, July 9th is another solid call - smaller at 3ft, but with clean cross-offshore winds for a fun morning session. And Monday, July 13th has back-to-back windows: a glassy morning on a small 2-3ft swell, followed by a clean afternoon. Worth a look.
The middle of the period, around the 6th and 12th, sees a bit more size (4ft) but the wind gets messy, so those are for the hardcore only.
Into the second week, Saturday morning, July 18th is a weird one. The swell is tiny, barely 1-2ft, but the wind is completely calm and glassy, and the period is a massive 20 seconds. Energy is still there at 327, but you’ll be waiting a long, long time for a tiny wave. Grab a longboard.
It’s a bit stop-start, especially between the 11th and the 18th, but the 13th offers some clean small waves to tide you over. Not a bad run for this spot.
Rusty out.
