Table - best surf conditions forecast for Jacaraipe over the next 16 days.
Alright, let’s get into it. This is for Jacaraipe, a sandbar break that’s a pretty consistent option for the next couple of weeks.
The water temperature is sitting at 75° with an anomaly of just 0.4°, so it’s pretty much what you’d expect for this time of year – no surprises there.
Alright, the next few days are a bit of a write-off, to be honest. Wednesday morning is a no-go with poor surf, that 4ft SE swell mixing with a 12 mph crosswind making a mess of things. The energy’s moderate (423) but it’s just not coming together. Wednesday afternoon is worse – 6ft of choppy SSE swell and wind on it, definitely not the one. Thursday morning is marginal at best, 4ft and still cross-shore, not worth getting wet for.
Friday the 10th is where things start looking interesting. Friday morning is a real standout. We’ve got clean conditions, light 6 mph cross-offshore wind from the north, and a 3ft ESE swell with a long 14-second period. That’s groundswell territory, and the energy is moderate to strong (536). This is a classic combo for a sandbar – that long period will really push through, and with clean lines, this is the best session on offer early on. Fair warning though, crowds can be an issue here sometimes.
The rest of that weekend and into the next week is a mixed bag. Saturday morning is marginal with a 4ft SE swell and cross-shore wind, and Sunday morning cleans up again with a 4ft SE swell and light north cross-offshore wind – that’s a nice, clean option. By Monday the 13th, another clean morning session pops up with 3ft SSE swell and a 14-second period under light NNW winds.
Now, look ahead to Thursday the 16th of July. Thursday morning is absolute glass – zero wind, 4ft SSE swell with an 11-second period. That’s as clean as it gets, and with moderate energy (288), it’s a proper little gem for a quiet paddle.
The big news is late in the run. Wednesday the 22nd of July, morning session – 6ft of ESE swell, 8-second period, and glassy conditions. The energy is strong (652) and this is the biggest swell on offer. The period is short, so it’ll be punchy and a bit crumbly at the sandbar, probably better for experienced surfers as it’s over 5ft. The following Thursday morning the 23rd holds similar size at 6ft but with a bit of rain and light wind, still a solid option.
All in all, the standouts are Friday morning July 10th for that long-period groundswell and clean conditions, and Wednesday morning July 22nd for the biggest, glassy swell of the forecast. Don’t sleep on the glass-off on Thursday the 16th either.
