Table - best surf conditions forecast for Jacaraipe over the next 16 days.
Alright folks, Rusty here. Let's have a look at what's on the menu for the next couple of weeks.
We’re starting off on a bit of a quiet note, but hold tight because there’s some proper juice headed our way if you’ve got the patience. The first real window of opportunity hits us this Saturday morning, July 11th.
Saturday morning, July 11th is the standout session of the whole outlook. Jacaraipe is the place to be. We’ve got a clean 4 ft swell rolling in from the SE, with a lovely long 13-second period pushing real energy through. The water is a pleasant 74°, right on the money for this time of year. The real magic here is the glassy conditions – a light NNW breeze at just 3 mph. That’s the kind of morning you drag yourself out of bed for. The combined energy is a solid 518, so you’ll feel the push. It’s a sandbar setup, so it’ll be offering up some fun, user-friendly waves. Expect some company though, as it does get crowded sometimes.
Saturday afternoon the wind swings SE and kills the vibe, turning it cross-on and messy. That’s a wrap for the day.
Sunday morning, July 12th, the swell drops a touch to 4 ft, but the wind is howling from the north at 12 mph. It’s a cross-off wind, so it’ll be clean, but that wind strength is going to make things a bit tricky. The energy is down to 397. It’s a “maybe” session, not a definite.
Monday, July 13th is a write-off. Strong onshore cross-winds from the SSW at 19 mph will turn the 5 ft to 6 ft swell into a lumpy mess. Not worth your time.
Tuesday, July 14th through to Thursday, July 16th, the swell is building. We’re seeing 5 ft to 7 ft, with the energy cranking up into the 900s and even hitting 1358 on Thursday afternoon. The problem is the wind. It’s cross or cross-on almost the whole time, keeping things choppy. Thursday morning looks the best of this bunch – a light 3 mph ENE wind with a 7 ft SE swell (12-second period) and a massive 1166 energy reading. The wind is light, but it’s still cross-on. It’s a big swell for the spot, pushing into expert territory on Thursday afternoon.
Friday, July 17th morning offers a nice reset. The swell drops back to a more manageable 6 ft, the wind is light from the NNW at 6 mph, and it’s cross-off, giving us clean conditions. The energy is a solid 865. This is a very good call.
After that, from Saturday, July 18th through to Wednesday, July 22nd, the swell drops off and the wind patterns are a mixed bag of cross-off mornings and messy afternoons. The waves are small, between 2 ft and 4 ft, with low energy. There are a few clean morning windows, but nothing to get too excited about.
We hit a bit of a lull in the middle of the week.
Thursday morning, July 23rd is another one to circle. Glassy conditions again with a light 3 mph SW wind, and a 4 ft swell from the east with an 8-second period. The energy is a modest 223, but the glassy surface will make for some fun, clean little waves.
From Friday, July 24th to the end of the outlook on Sunday, July 26th, the story is small, weak E swell (3 ft to 4 ft) with mostly onshore winds and even some rain showers. The window is pretty much closed by then.
So, to sum it up: Saturday morning, July 11th is the absolute best bet – glassy, long-period groundswell, and perfect conditions. Friday morning, July 17th is your next best clean option with a bit more size. Get on it while you can.
Rusty.
