Table - best surf conditions forecast for Jacaraipe over the next 16 days.
Alright, Rusty here. Let’s have a look at what’s on offer for Jacaraipe over the next couple of weeks.
Right off the bat, it’s a quiet start. The first recommendation doesn’t kick off until Saturday morning, July 11th. Before that, Friday afternoon is a write-off—cross-on wind, choppy, not worth paddling out for.
For the standout session, you’ll want to be in the water on Thursday morning, July 16th. The water temp is sitting at 75°F which is about average for the time of year. That morning, we’ve got a solid 6ft swell rolling in from the southeast with a 12-second period—classic groundswell. The energy is strong, registering 1106 (moderate to strong wave energy). What really makes this one special is the light north wind that’s cross-offshore, keeping the surface clean. This is excellent surf for experienced surfers; the size and power mean it’s not for beginners. The swell direction from the southeast matches the optimum east swell direction, so the sandbar should line up nicely. Crowds are possible here sometimes, so expect company.
The day before, Wednesday July 15th morning, has a similar 6ft SE swell and almost no wind, but the conditions are marginal due to tide—worth a look if you’re keen, but Thursday is the better bet.
Saturday morning July 11th also looks fun—4ft SE swell with a north cross-off breeze and clean conditions. It’s beginner-friendly at that size, and the energy is moderate at 499. A good warm-up.
Sunday morning July 12th remains clean with 4ft SE swell, though the wind picks up a bit. Still surfable.
By Monday July 13th, things get messy—south wind cranking at 19 mph, cross-shore and lumpy. The swell jumps to 6ft but with a short 6-second period, so it’s choppy and poor. That afternoon is even worse.
Tuesday July 14th morning has a bigger 5ft SSE swell with a 12-second period and strong energy (815), but the wind is cross-shore and moderate, leaving a chop. Not the best.
Thursday afternoon July 16th, the clean conditions are gone—cross-on wind ruins it.
Friday July 17th morning is another good call: 5ft SE swell, clean with light north cross-off wind, energy at 781. A solid session for those who can handle it.
From Saturday July 18th onwards, the swell drops off. Mornings stay clean with smaller 3-4ft waves, but the energy weakens. By the middle of the following week (July 22nd-23rd), we’re down to weak energy in the double digits to low hundreds, and the period drops to 7 seconds. Those are short-period windswell days—ordinary, choppy afternoons. Not much to get excited about.
Friday July 24th morning is the last bright spot: 3ft E swell, 7-second period, clean with a north cross-off breeze, energy at 204. After that, the outlook fades into small, inconsistent waves for the weekend.
Overall, Thursday July 16th is the clear standout. Get on it if you can.
Rusty.
