Table - best surf conditions forecast for Satellite Beach/RCs over the next 16 days.
Alright, grab a coffee, let's have a look at what's on the table for the next couple of weeks.
To be straight up with you, we are looking at a long, quiet run here. The swell is just flat-lining. For the first week and a half, you are going to be staring at a lot of knee-high dribble. There is nothing that's going to get the heart pumping.
Let's talk about Satellite Beach/RCs. It's an exposed beach and reef setup, these righthanders need a solid push of NE swell to start working properly, and with the tiny waves we've got and the wind all over the place, it's just not happening. That water temp is sitting right on 86°, which is about bang on average for this time of year, so at least you won't be cold while you're floating around waiting for a wave that isn't coming.
Through Sunday the 12th and Monday the 13th, we see some windows of clean conditions, with light offshore winds and even some glass, but the swell is a measly 1 ft to 2 ft from the ESE. The combined wave energy is just pathetic – we're talking readings of 16 to 52 (weak). It's not surfable. Tuesday the 14th is the same story, glassy in the morning but still no height.
Wednesday the 15th has a moment of total glass-off with a new 1 ft NE swell, but the period is a short 7 seconds. It's going to be weak and crumbly. The following days are just more of the same: small, weak, and mostly onshore. The wind swings a lot, but the swell never shows up. Through the 20th and 21st, it's still barely a ripple.
Things stay stubbornly small right through the end of the month. On the 25th, we see the swell bump up to a whopping 2 ft from the East, but with onshore wind and combined energy still only hitting 53 (weak), it’s not going to do anything. For the second week, it's more of the same tiny stuff with onshore slop, so don't get your hopes up.
Honestly, there's no standout session in this entire sixteen-day window. If you absolutely have to get wet, wait for a morning with glassy conditions, but bring a longboard and manage your expectations. There’s just nothing here.
