Table - best surf conditions forecast for Pambula Rivermouth over the next 16 days.
Alright, Rusty here. Let’s see what’s shaping up for Pambula Rivermouth.
First off, the first week is a total bust. From Sunday the 12th through Saturday the 18th, it’s mostly flat or ankle-snappers. The biggest wave in that stretch is 0.6ft on Friday afternoon, but the energy is weak at 75 (75) and the conditions are just ordinary. You’re better off doing something else. That’s a solid six days of nothing.
The first sign of life comes Sunday the 19th. Morning sees 4ft from ENE at 10 seconds, but it’s cross-on and marginal. The afternoon gets bigger at 5ft from ENE, 11 seconds, but the wind goes onshore and it’s messy. Not the day.
Monday the 20th is the real deal. The morning brings 6ft from ENE at 11 seconds, with glassy conditions. Clean, lined-up, and the combined energy hits 688 (688) – solid moderate energy. The afternoon holds at 6ft, light cross-off from SE, still clean. That’s your best window. Tuesday the 21st is still good in the morning, 5ft from ENE, light offshore from SSW, clean. A good run.
The second week has some highlights, but it’s less certain. Wednesday the 22nd morning is glassy with 4ft from ENE, a nice session. Then Friday the 24th afternoon looks very promising: 5ft from E at 12 seconds, cross-off wind, and a strong energy reading of 808 (808). That’s one to keep an eye on. Saturday the 25th morning pushes 6ft from ESE at 12 seconds, but it’s cross-shore and a little bumpy. The energy is very high at 1204 (1204) – a strong groundswell, but that size is for experts only. After that, it drops off again.
Water temp is about 61°F, which is just a touch warmer than average for July. Nothing crazy.
This spot is inconsistent and only for the advanced crew. It doesn’t fire often, so when Monday the 20th rolls around with glassy 6ft waves, you’ll want to be there. Crowds are possible, so expect a few others with the same idea.
Rusty.
