Table - best surf conditions forecast for Las Redes over the next 16 days.

Alright folks, Rusty here. Let's take a look at what's on offer at Las Redes over the next couple of weeks.

To be straight with you, the outlook for Las Redes is a tough one. Looking through the whole 16-day window, the surf is small and the conditions are messy for most of it. There's no real standout session, and the wave energy stays weak, with the combined swell energy never getting above a moderate 83. It's a bit of a flat spell, and this is just one of those periods where the ocean isn't cooperating. You'll have to be patient.

Let's get into the details. Starting off on Sunday the 12th, it's not worth paddling out. We've got a tiny 1 foot swell from the WNW with a cross-onshore breeze, making for choppy conditions. The wave energy is a weak 21. Monday the 13th is a little bigger, with 2 foot waves, but the period is short at 7 seconds and the wind is cross or cross-off, which cleans it up a bit, but it's still not good surf. The energy is only 40. This pattern of small, weak swell and average winds continues through the week.

The only moment that might catch your eye is Wednesday morning the 15th. It's only 2 feet from the WNW, but the wind is glassy, dead calm, making for perfect, clean conditions. The energy is still low at 28 though, so it's more of a longboard or a chance to get the kids out on a foamie. By Thursday the 16th, the energy nudges up to 83 with a 3 foot swell, but the afternoon wind turns cross-shore and choppy again.

Looking further ahead, we see a slight uptick around the 22nd of July. On the morning of Wednesday the 22nd, we get a 3 foot swell from the WNW and a light cross-off wind from the NNW, which will clean the waves right up. The energy hits 78, which is the best we see in this stretch. The swell is still small though, so it’s not anything to get too hyped about. The following day, Thursday the 23rd morning, also has clean conditions with a cross-off breeze, but the swell drops to 1 feet.

For the final week, from the 24th of July onwards, the swell direction switches around to the SE. The size is still small, mostly under 3 feet, and the winds are a mixed bag. The morning of Monday the 27th has a 3 foot SSE swell with a clean cross-off wind from the NW, giving energy of 41, but again, it's just not a big enough push to get excited about.

Honestly, there's no real standout here. If you're desperate for a session, try the morning of the 15th for the glassy conditions, or the morning of the 22nd for the cleanest, most energetic waves we're going to see. Don't expect much power or size. We'll have to wait for the next system to roll through.

Stay patient, and keep an eye on the chart.

Rusty.
