Righto, let’s have a look at what’s on offer for Cibratel. Over the next couple of weeks, it’s a bit of a mixed bag, but there are a few windows worth paddling out for.
Right from the start, Friday 3rd July is a write-off with poor conditions and cross-on wind, so you’re better off waiting. The first proper chance comes Sunday morning, 5th July. It’s glassy, clean with the wind off the land, and that SSE swell is sitting around 3 ft with a 12-second period – nice groundswell energy there (306). Water temp is around 68° with virtually no anomaly, so about normal for this time of year. This window is the standout of the early forecast.
Monday morning 6th July is also glassy and clean, similar size at about 3 ft from the SSE, 10-second period, moderate energy (239). Another good session if you’re keen for a paddle before the wind gets on it.
The middle of the week gets quiet. There’s a long gap from Tuesday 7th through to Friday 10th with tiny or messy surf, mostly poor to ordinary, and nothing worth chasing. Then Saturday 11th July morning picks up again: glassy, 3 ft SSE groundswell with a 13-second period (205). That’s a solid, clean option for a weekend surf – not huge, but good shape.
Sunday 12th July morning is similar – glassy, 3 ft from the SSE, 13-second period (245). Another cracker for a quiet Sunday session. After that, the surf dips again through most of the second week, with small, onshore, or weak conditions.
The long-range call-on is Saturday 18th July morning. It’s glassy, with a 2 ft SSE swell but a very long 16-second period (253). That’s proper groundswell energy – will wrap in nicely but at a beach break it might run a bit straight. Still, clean and worth a look if you’re free.
Overall, the absolute best on offer is Sunday 5th July morning and Monday 6th July morning for clean, glassy surf with moderate, well-spaced groundswell. For the second week, keep an eye on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th mornings – they’re dependable and clean.
Cibratel (Cibratel) is exposed to the SSE swell, very consistent, and geared toward beginner plus surfers. Best to avoid the onshore afternoons unless you just want a float.
