The Lowdown
Alright folks, Rusty here. Let's talk about Balneario de Camboriu. This is a beginner-friendly spot, fairly exposed, and it usually draws crowds, so expect company. The swell we've got coming over the next couple weeks isn't huge, but there are a few clean windows that'll get you smiling. The water temp is about normal for this time of year – nothing weird going on.
We kick off Tuesday the 14th with a real treat. Morning sees a glassy 3.9ft ESE groundswell at 10 seconds – combined energy sits at 268, so moderate push. That same glassy feel holds into the afternoon with a touch more size at 4.3ft, still from the ESE. Wednesday morning the 15th stays glassy with 3.9ft ESE swell and energy up to 326 – proper clean conditions for a beginner or anyone wanting easy waves. This stretch is your best bet if you're after smooth, user-friendly surf.
Wednesday afternoon the 15th gets a bit bumpy with a cross-off breeze, dropping to 3.0ft – still surfable but nothing special. Thursday and Friday the 16th and 17th offer small, cleanish waves but the energy fades and winds get messy. Saturday the 18th bumps up to 4.6ft ENE short-period swell (8 sec) but cross winds spoil it. Sunday the 19th is a write-off with onshore junk.
We go through a flat, poor spell from the 20th to the 24th – mostly small, choppy, or onshore. There's a little window on Tuesday the 21st morning with 3.9ft ENE and glassy conditions, but only a so-so session – worth a paddle if you're desperate.
Then comes a standout on Saturday the 25th morning. The swell jumps to 6.2ft from the NE, period short at 7 seconds, but combined energy hits 554 – strong! Winds are light cross-off from the NNW, so clean. This is the most juice we see all forecast, but be warned: at 6.2ft it's pushing into "too big for beginners" territory. For intermediate and up, it'll
