Table - best surf conditions forecast for Milook over the next 16 days.
Right then, let's have a look at what's on offer here. To be honest, it's a pretty quiet run for Milook. The whole sixteen days are a bit of a write-off, with only a couple of moments that are barely worth grabbing your board for. You'll be looking at long gaps of nothing worthwhile, so don't hold your breath.
The only real highlight, if you can even call it that, is Friday morning the 10th of July. Milook is a reef setup, exposed to the swell, and it's an inconsistent spot that rarely turns on. The water temperature is about average for the time of year, so no surprises there. That morning we've got a tiny 3ft swell rolling in from the West, with a period of 9 seconds. The combined swell energy is moderate (109). What makes it just about surfable is that glassy wind from the ESE, meaning the surface will be clean. It's not big or powerful, but for this stretch, it's as good as it gets. Expect crowds to be possible here.
Outside of that, the rest of the forecast is a real struggle. You've got a handful of mornings with a bit of swell, like Thursday the 9th with a 2ft swell from the West and a 10-second period, but the wind is either cross or cross-onshore making a mess of it. Then from the 11th through to the 23rd, the swell drops right off, mostly below 2ft, and the wind is generally howling onshore or cross-off, creating nothing but bumpy, unrideable conditions. There's a few mornings with strong offshore winds, but the swell is so small (0.7ft to 1ft) it's not worth the paddle.
To sum it up: you've got one small window on Friday the 10th for a clean, tiny wave. The rest is a blank run. It’s one of those periods where the forecast can change, but right now it's looking bleak.
