Alright, Rusty here, let’s talk about the next few weeks. I’ll be straight with you—this is a quiet stretch for our stretch of coast. The swell just isn’t showing up. We’ve got a long gap of flat, small, and choppy conditions ahead, so don’t get your hopes up for any hero sessions.

We’re looking at Jupiter Inlet South Jetty, and honestly, the first real opportunity to even wet a line is on Monday, July 13th, but it’s tiny. You’ve got a 0.3ft NE windswell with a weak combined energy of just (6). The morning offers a clean surface with a light cross-off breeze, but there’s nothing to ride. That sets the tone for the next several days.

Through the week of July 13th to the 18th, it’s a flat spell. Swell heights barely kiss 2ft. The water temp is sitting about average for this time of year. There are a few glassy mornings – like Tuesday morning (July 14th) and Wednesday morning (July 15th) with that super light wind – but the swell is just too small to get excited about. The combined energy meter barely cracks 29 on Wednesday, which tells you how weak it is. Afternoons are mostly a write-off with increasing cross-onshore winds mixing up a little chop.

Friday, July 17th morning offers the best chance of the first week, with glassy conditions and that little 1ft NE bump. You might get a knee-high crumble, but it won’t last. The wind goes onshore fast.

The second week, from about July 20th, doesn’t fix anything. The swell stays in the 0.3ft to 2ft range, wind is mostly onshore from the SE at 12-16 mph, and the combined energy is almost non-existent—sometimes as low as (2). The water temp is still holding average. Afternoons are downright messy.

The best of a bad bunch, if I had to pick a stand-out, would be Wednesday morning, July 22nd. The swell is pathetic at 0.7ft from the ESE, but the wind is dead calm (glassy). It’s a “look at the ocean and dream” kind of day. There is no standout swell, no power, no size. For the whole 16-day window, we’ve got nothing that breaks 2ft. At a break like this, that’s a blank run.

If you’re a beginner, even the 2ft is fine, but with the poor quality and onshore wind, it won’t be fun. For experts, there’s nothing to write home about. If you have a kite, you might get some interest in the afternoons with the stronger side-onshore breeze, but for a paddle surfer, it’s a stay-at-home period.

Stay patient, mate. These quiet runs don’t last forever.
