The Lowdown
Alright, I’m gonna be straight with you. This is a tough one.
Right now, through the whole 16-day run, we’re looking at a flat spell that just won’t quit. The Jupiter Inlet South Jetty (Jupiter-Inlet-South-Jetty) is the only break on the radar, and it’s been called "poor surf conditions" all the way through to the end. There’s no standout, no real hope spot. The swell energy is weak, with values staying in the low double digits for most of the period—14 to 75 (moderate at best). The combined energy tops out at 75 (moderate) on the 2nd of September morning, but even then the swell is small and the wind is cross-on. It’s a beach/jetty setup, so without decent swell and clean conditions, it’s just not happening.
The water temperature is sitting at 86°F with a 1°F anomaly, which is a touch warmer than average for this time of year, but nothing crazy.
From the 22nd of August all the way through the 6th of September, every single session is marked "poor surf conditions." The swell heights barely scratch 3 ft, and that’s only on the 1st September morning. The period is short—mostly 4 to 9 seconds, which is weak, windswell stuff. The winds are often cross-on or onshore, and even the glassy mornings on the 3rd and 6th September have almost no swell to work with.
There’s a gap of several days with no real recommendation. Honestly, it’s a blank run. This area tends to go quiet for stretches, and this is one of those times. Don’t hold your breath. If you’re a kite surfer, there might be something in the stronger onshore afternoons, but for paddle surfing, it’s a no-go.
Rusty.
