Table - best surf conditions forecast for Jupiter Inlet South Jetty over the next 16 days.
Alright folks, Rusty here, and I’m not gonna sugarcoat it. Looking at the outlook for Jupiter Inlet South Jetty, it’s a 16-day stretch that’s mostly a washout. There’s no real window of good surf to recommend, so let’s just walk through what we’ve got.
From Thursday, July 9 onward, it’s all small and choppy. Swell heights barely touch 2 feet, with short periods of 4 to 5 seconds. The wind is stuck cross-onshore, mostly from the ESE, making a mess of things. Wave energy is weak, staying under 100. Not much to work with.
There’s a brief, clean moment on the morning of Wednesday, July 15, with glassy conditions and a light offshore from the WNW. But the swell is still tiny at 1 feet from the NE, with a period of 8 seconds. Energy is only 23. It’s clean as a whistle, but there’s barely a bump to surf.
A few other mornings, like Thursday, July 16 and Friday, July 17, offer clean conditions with a light cross-offshore breeze. Swell stays stubbornly small, between 1 and 2 feet. Energy readings are in the teens. You can paddle out and enjoy the calm water, but don’t expect waves.
Toward the end of the run, around Wednesday, July 22 to Friday, July 24, we see a bump up to about 4 feet from the ESE. But the period is still short (5 seconds) and the wind is back to a moderate cross-onshore or onshore breeze. Wave energy climbs into the moderate range (44-85), but with that wind and short period, the quality is poor.
Bottom line: there are no good surf options in this whole 16-day span. The area is just in a flat, quiet phase. Keep the wax warm and hope for a change. This is a long, quiet stretch.
