Table - best surf conditions forecast for Boscombe Pier over the next 16 days.
Alright, Rusty here. Let’s have a look at what’s cookin’ for the next couple of weeks at Boscombe Pier (England).
To be straight with you, it’s a pretty grim run we’re lookin’ at. There are no good surf options in this entire 16-day window. It’s one of those spells where you’d be better off checkin’ the forecast again in a few days because, honestly, it can’t stay this poor for long. The first week is a write-off, and the second week ain’t much better.
Right from the start, Sunday the 12th, it’s tiny and messy. We’ve got a 0.3 ft swell with a weak 2 combined energy, and a howlin’ 19 mph cross-off wind. That’s not surfable for anyone.
Monday the 13th and Tuesday the 14th? Zero swell. Nothin’. Clean, sure, but you can’t ride what isn’t there.
Wednesday the 15th and Thursday the 16th are a bit of a tease. Thursday morning the 16th shows a tiny 3 ft swell from the SW with a short 5-second period and 47 combined energy, but light offshore winds will have it clean. By Thursday afternoon, the wind goes glassy with WSW 3 mph – it’s flat but it’s pretty. Still not worth paddlin’ out.
Friday the 17th morning has a 3 ft SW swell, 7-second period, and 100 combined energy with light cross winds. It’s the best of a bad bunch but still a poor surf conditions call. Afternoon gets chopped up by a 16 mph cross-on wind.
The second week is just more of the same. Tuesday the 22nd morning finally sees a pulse: 5 ft from the WSW with a 6-second period and 184 combined energy, glassy wind. That’s the closest we get to a real window, but it’s still scored as “very ordinary.” The water temp is a whopping 68°F — that’s about 9°F warmer than usual for this time of year, which is very unusual. So you’ll be warm, at least.
After that, Wednesday the 23rd morning offers 2 ft from the west with a clean offshore breeze, but it’s weak. The rest of the week fizzles back into tiny, short-period dribble.
There is no standout in this outlook. If I had to point you to one single session that’s closest to bein’ surfable, it’s Tuesday the 22nd morning. A 5 ft WSW swell under glassy conditions, and the energy hits 184 — moderate. It’s still ordinary, but it’s the only time the numbers come close to sayin’ “maybe.” Just keep your expectations low, and don’t be surprised if it’s lumpy by the afternoon. For beginners, that 5 ft is borderline okay, but the short period means it’ll be weak and crumbly.
Stay tuned, forecasts change. This stretch is a write-off, but it won’t stay this way forever.
