Alright folks, Rusty here. Let’s have a look at what’s comin’ down the line at Boneyards.

We’ve got a bit of a waiting game on our hands. The forecast starts off with a solid pulse of swell, but it’s got a raw edge to it. Friday the 10th sees a 8ft SSW swell with a 13-second period, but that 22 mph SE wind is rippin’ offshore, making it a battle to get out. The water’s sittin’ at 60°, which is pretty much bang on average for this time of year. The combined energy is a hefty 1887 (moderate to strong), but the conditions are marginal – it’s more of a wrestle than a wave.

Saturday the 11th cleans up a touch. The morning has a 7ft SSW swell, still with a strong 19 mph ESE offshore. It’s clean, but that wind is still hefty. The afternoon drops to 6ft, and the wind eases to 16 mph, keeping it offshore. It’s better, but not the standout.

Now, Sunday the 12th is where it gets interesting. The morning brings a drop to 4ft SSW swell, but the wind goes light offshore from the ESE at 9 mph. The combined energy sits at 548 (moderate). The call is for very good surf conditions. This is the pick of the first week – clean, manageable, and fun. The afternoon stays similar with 4ft and that same light wind.

Monday the 13th goes glassy. The swell drops to 3ft in the morning, wind is dead calm, but it’s small and weak (190 combined energy). Surfable, but ordinary.

Then we get a major pulse. Wednesday the 15th afternoon sees a 10ft SW groundswell with a very long 16-second period, and the energy rockets to 4343 (very strong). The wind is a gentle cross-offshore, and the call is excellent for experienced surfers. This is a big one, but it’s a reef break and that long period will make it tricky – the sets will be long and powerful. This is for the crew who know what they’re doing, and it’s likely to be crowded.

Thursday the 16th stays big, with 10ft in the morning, but the wind is onshore, making it a mess. The afternoon is 8ft with a cross-onshore wind – still marginal.

Friday the 17th is back to clean, but that 25 mph SE offshore wind is howling. The swell is 8ft, but it’s a battle to paddle into. Hard work.

Things settle down into the second week. Saturday the 18th looks great – 5ft S swell with a gentle offshore ESE breeze, and the energy is a solid 1030 (moderate). The afternoon is glassy clean with 5ft and barely any wind. That’s a proper session.

The rest of the week is a mixed bag. Sunday the 19th is blown out by a strong cross-onshore wind. Monday the 20th goes glassy again with 4ft, but it’s small. Tuesday the 21st is clean with a cross-offshore breeze and 4ft – small but workable.

Then we get another pulse. Wednesday the 22nd morning sees a 6ft SSW swell with a gentle offshore, and the energy is 1166 (moderate). The call is excellent for experienced surfers. The wind stays clean, and it’s a good one.

Thursday the 23rd is the standout of the second week. The morning has a 10ft SW swell, with a moderate offshore wind from the SE at 12 mph. The energy is 2605 (strong), and the call is again excellent for experienced surfers. This is a big, clean swell. The period is 13 seconds, so it’s powerful but not as freakishly long as the 15th. The wind stays clean through the afternoon, though it picks up a bit.

The final days, Friday the 24th through Saturday the 25th, keep the 7ft+ SSW swell going, but the wind is a stronger cross-offshore, keeping it clean but a bit more challenging. The energy stays in the 1300-1600 range (moderate to strong).

Bottom line: The standout window is Sunday the 12th for the clean, smaller, high-quality surf. The big show is Wednesday the 15th and Thursday the 23rd for the experienced crew – big, powerful, and clean. The rest is a mix of waiting and picking the clean windows.

Stay safe out there.
Rusty.
