Table - best surf conditions forecast for Azarujinha over the next 16 days.

Alright folks, Rusty here. Let’s have a look at what Azarujinha has in store for us over the next couple of weeks. I gotta be straight with you – this isn't gonna be one for the highlight reel. The whole period is small and pretty average, with no real standouts to get excited about.

Right from the start, Thursday 9th and Friday 10th are a write-off. We’ve got tiny 2ft to 3ft swell from the WNW/NW with a short period around 9 or 10 seconds, and a moderate cross-off breeze keeping things clean but the energy is weak (58–167). The wave comment says it all: poor surf conditions. Don’t bother paddling out.

Saturday 11th morning is the first time you might even consider it. Swell is still only 2ft from the NW with a period of 11 seconds, and the combined energy is a weak 87. It’s described as "surfable waves but very ordinary conditions." The light breeze keeps it clean, but it’s nothing to write home about. Saturday afternoon goes back to poor.

Sunday 12th morning offers a glimmer. We get a glassy 3ft swell from the WNW, period of 9 seconds, and combined energy of 162. It’s clean and the wind is glass – that’s a big positive for conditions. Still, it’s just surfable, not firing. Sunday afternoon gets choppy again.

Monday 13th through Wednesday 15th is more of the same – tiny 2ft to 3ft swells, mostly clean, but the energy is low (35–122). Thursday 16th morning is clean with a 2ft swell, but the period drops to 6 seconds, so it’s weak and crumbly.

Friday 17th through Saturday 18th, the wind goes offshore from the N and NNW, which is nice and clean, but the swell is pathetically small: 1ft to 2ft with periods of 8 to 10 seconds. The energy barely cracks 68–79. It looks better for a kite than a paddle, honestly.

Sunday 19th afternoon we get a weird spike – a 0.3ft swell from the SW but with a very long period of 18 seconds. That’s a very long period groundswell, but at 0.3ft it’s practically flat. Combined energy is just 23. Don’t get your hopes up.

Monday 20th morning is probably the "best" of a bad bunch. We get a 4ft swell from the NW, period of 8 seconds, offshore wind from the NNW at 9 mph, and combined energy of 171. It’s clean, but the wave comment says "surfable waves but very ordinary conditions." The afternoon bumps up to 5ft from the NW with 270 energy, but it’s still only marginal given the conditions. That 5ft is okay for intermediates, but with short period it won’t have much punch.

After that, from Tuesday 21st right through to Friday 24th, it’s back to tiny 0.3ft to 1.0ft swells with long periods (13–15 seconds) but no real size. The wind is often offshore and clean, but there’s nothing to catch. Combined energy is in the single digits or teens. It’s a total flat spell for the final stretch.

So, bottom line: don’t expect any waves worth chasing. If you absolutely need to get wet, Monday 20th morning has the most size and clean offshore wind, but it’s still just ordinary. The rest is a long gap of nothing. This is one of those periods where you’re better off checking the forecast again in a few days – things can change.

Stay patient,
Rusty
