Honestly, I gotta be straight with you, this is a tough one. We're looking at a solid 16-day window, but the surf is going to be a real struggle for most of it. We've got a long, quiet gap to start, and the only consistent option on the table is Bica, but even that's a bit of a heartbreaker.
For the first week and a half, from the start of August right through until around the 11th, the swell is just tiny. We're talking wave heights barely scraping 2ft to 2ft, with the combined energy of all swells directed here staying weak, mostly in the double digits (16-94). The wind is often cross-off from the NNW, which is good for conditions, but there's just no power in the water. The water temp is sitting around 68°F, which is about normal for this time of year, so no surprises there.
The first real glimmer of anything surfable shows up on the morning of Wednesday, 12 August. We get a tiny bump with a 2ft swell from the WNW, and the combined energy edges up a touch to 62. The wind is light from the NW, making it clean. The report says "surfable waves but very ordinary conditions", and that's about right. It's not a standout, but it's the only thing that's even close to a paddle. The period is 9 seconds, so it's a weak windswell, not really a groundswell with any punch.
