Table - best surf conditions forecast for Aracaju over the next 16 days.
Alright folks, Rusty here. Let’s be straight with you. For the next 16 days, Aracaju is going to be a tough beat. There’s no standout session to get excited about. The water’s warm though, sitting at 80°F, which is right on the money for this time of year – nothing unusual there.
We kick off on Friday, July 10th, with a small 3 ft swell out of the SE, but the wind is blowing onshore from the ESE at 9 mph. It’s messy, and the combined energy is weak (279). Not worth paddling out.
Saturday the 11th and Sunday the 12th see a tiny bump in size – 3 ft and 3 ft – but the wind stays cross-onshore or onshore, keeping the ocean chopped up. Energy stays moderate at best (373 and 240). The swell period is around 12-13 seconds, which is decent, but the wind just ruins it.
Monday the 13th drops off to 2 ft and the energy plummets to 124. Still cross-shore winds. It’s a write-off.
Tuesday the 14th is the flattest day of the run – a pathetic 0.9 ft from the SSE with energy down to 86. You’d be better off sunbaking.
Things get weird on Wednesday the 15th – a risk of thunderstorms and a 2 ft swell from the south, period up to 14 seconds. Energy picks up to 242, but the wind is howling cross-onshore at 12-15 mph. It’s choppy and poor.
Then from Thursday the 16th through Saturday the 18th, the swell jumps significantly. We see 6 ft to 7 ft from the SE/SSE, with periods of 12-13 seconds. The combined energy is massive – 1444 to 2423. Sounds great, right? But the wind is a solid cross-onshore 15-18 mph. It’s lumpy, blown out, and the "poor surf conditions" label is stamped all over it. This is way too big and messy for beginners, and even for experts, it’s not going to be clean. Honestly, with that wind and those heights at a beach setup, this looks more interesting for kite surfing than paddle surfing.
The second week from July 19th to the 25th is a slow decline back to small, weak swell (2 ft to 5 ft) with onshore or cross-onshore winds constantly. Periods drop to 8-10 seconds, energy stays low (136-367). It’s flat, it’s choppy, it’s poor.
Bottom line: there is not one single session in the entire 16-day window where the stars align. No clean offshore wind, no quality wave face. Keep your board in the car for now, or if you’re desperate, bring a kite. Forecasts can change, but right now, this is a blank run.
Rusty.
