Table - best surf conditions forecast for Adraga over the next 16 days.
Rusty here again, and I’m going to say it straight: the surf over the next 16 days is a write-off. Let’s get into it.
From Tuesday, July 7, right through the whole period, it’s all "poor surf conditions" for Adraga. We start with a tiny swell of 2.3 feet from the NW, a short period of 5 seconds, and the combined wave energy is a weak 39. Wind is cross-onshore at 12 mph from the north, just chopping the surface. Water temp is 67.3°, about normal for the season – nothing unusual there.
The whole first week stays small. Swell heights hover between 1.3 feet and 3.3 feet, period rarely breaks the 10-second mark. The wind is mostly cross-on or on, with speeds from 6 mph up to 22 mph. Every session gets a “poor” tag. Even on Friday, July 10, when the breeze is light from the northwest at 6 mph and it’s onshore, the swell is only 2 feet. The energy is still in the 90s – just weak.
There’s a bit of a lift in energy on Sunday, July 12, with the combined reading hitting 135 and 145, but the wave heights are only 2.3 feet and the period is 9 seconds. Wind is still on or cross-onshore. The word is “unknown” or “fairly choppy” – not inviting.
Monday, July 13, is the highest energy of the run at 172. The swell is 3 feet from the NNW with a short 8-second period, but the wind goes very light in the morning from the WNW – almost glassy. That’s the only half-decent moment, but it’s still a poor surf call. The wave shape won’t be there.
After that, it’s downhill. Thursday, July 16, sees 3.3 feet from the west, but the period drops to 7 seconds and the wind is a fresh cross-onshore at 22 mph. That’s kite territory, not paddle.
So I’ll call it: no good options. Nothing to recommend. A blank run like this is not unusual for the area during this quiet spell, but these forecasts can flip. For now, the board stays on the rack.
Short Range ForecastMostly dry. Very mild (max 19°C on Wed morning, min 16°C on Tue night). Mainly fresh winds. | Days 4-6 Weather SummaryMostly dry. Warm (max 20°C on Sun afternoon, min 18°C on Fri morning). Wind will be generally light. | ||||||||||||||||||||
