Updates in hr min s Forecast update imminent
Alright, surfers, Rusty here. Let's have a look at what's on the menu for the Fort Pierce North Jetty area. To be straight with you, it's a quiet stretch ahead. We’re looking at a prolonged flat spell with very little in the way of rideable waves over the next sixteen days.
Kicking off from the morning of July 4th, the swell is tiny, topping out at just 1ft from the ENE with a short period of 7 seconds. The combined swell energy is a weak 36—not enough to get excited about. The wind is a cross-off, but with no real swell to work with, it’s just clean flat water. It stays like this right through the first week and into the second. We see morning glass-offs on July 8th and again on July 15th, and some light offshore breezes on the mornings of July 5th and 12th, but every reading shows "poor surf conditions" with wave heights consistently below 2ft. The swell direction is mostly from the E or ESE, with periods hanging between 3 and 9 seconds, never delivering any punch.
Because the data doesn't include water temperature for this specific beach, I can't comment on that. This break, Fort Pierce North Jetty (United States), is an exposed beach, reef, and jetty setup that’s very consistent for picking up swell, but there’s just nothing coming our way. With no size and poor quality, the whole 16-day window is a washout. For a spot like this, a blank run isn't totally out of the ordinary, but it’s still a bummer.
So, there's no standout session to chase, no "one to mark on the calendar." It’s a bit of a desert out there. Keep the boards in the car just in case, because forecasts can always shift, but right now, I’d look for a different hobby for the next couple of weeks.
