Table - best surf conditions forecast for Fish Pass Jetty over the next 16 days.
Rusty here. Let's be straight with you. We are lookin' at a real dry spell for Fish Pass Jetty over the next 16 days. It’s a beginner-friendly beach and jetty setup that picks up swell from the SE, which is its optimum direction, but the whole window is a write-off.
Right out of the gate, it’s flat and messy. The water temp is sitting at 85°, which is a touch warmer than average for this time of year, but you won't care if you are just staring at a lake.
Starting Friday the 10th through the whole first week, we are stuck with tiny windswell, mostly around 2ft to 4ft, but the period is a pathetic 5 to 6 seconds. That’s just slop with no push. The wind is onshore or cross-onshore almost constantly, 15 to 25 miles per hour, making everything a choppy mess. The combined swell energy barely scratches three digits, mostly sitting in the weak to moderate zone (19 to 119). The word "poor" is attached to every single surf condition note, and that is the truth.
There is no highlight, no standout, no moment of hope in this 16-day window. The whole stretch from July 10th to July 25th is a complete flat spell for paddle surfing. If you’ve got a kite, the consistent onshore wind and the ankle-to-waist high lumps might get you planing, but for a surfboard, leave it at home.
Keep your head up. Forecasts change. But for now, it’s a solid zero.
