Table - best surf conditions forecast for Deerfield Beach Pier over the next 16 days.
Alright folks, it’s Rusty here. Let’s be straight with you – this 16-day stretch for Deerfield Beach Pier is as flat as a week-old beer. We’re looking at a real dry spell with no good surf on offer. The first record kicks off Friday, July 10th, and from there it’s just a long, drawn-out run of tiny, weak, and messy conditions. You’ll be waiting more than two weeks for anything that even sniffs at a wave, and even then, it’s still poor.
Right from the start, Friday July 10th, we’ve got a weak 3ft swell from the SE, but it’s a short period of just 5 seconds and a moderate onshore breeze from the ESE at 12 mph. The combined energy is a measly 44 – that’s flat. It’s the same story through the weekend and into the next week. The swell height barely touches 2ft, the period is consistently short, and the wind is either onshore or cross-onshore, keeping things choppy and blown out. The water temp is about average for this time of year, nothing unusual to report there.
The only tiny glimmer we get is on Thursday, July 16th, in the morning. The wind swings light offshore from the W at 6 mph, which would clean things up. But the swell is only 2ft from the NNE with a period of 7 seconds, and the combined energy is just 45. It’s a small, weak little pulse that’s barely rideable, even for a beginner on a longboard. It’s not a standout, just a brief moment of glassy conditions on a tiny wave.
After that, it’s back to the same old story – onshore winds, tiny surf, and poor conditions all the way through to Saturday, July 25th. The swell direction bounces around from SE to ESE, but the sizes always stay below 3ft, periods are short, and the energy is weak. For a sheltered sandbar like this, the setup looks more interesting for a kite surfer than a paddle surfer during this stretch.
Honestly, there’s just nothing to get excited about here. The consistent lack of any decent swell and poor winds means you’re better off checking the forecast again in a few days. Sometimes it’s like this, and the only thing to do is wait.
Rusty.
