Table - best surf conditions forecast for Kiddies Corner over the next 16 days.
Alright, let’s get into it. The first surf worth talking about is Friday afternoon, July 10th, at Kiddies Corner. We’ve got a solid 5ft swell hitting from the southeast, with a 10-second period and a glassy, almost no-wind vibe from the southeast at just 3 mph. The water’s sitting at 66°, which is pretty much average for this time of year. The combined energy is 543, so there’s some proper push behind it, but it’s not out of control. This is a good, clean beginner-friendly wave for the afternoon—definitely the best of the early run.
Saturday morning, July 11th, drops a bit to 4ft from the southeast, period hanging at 9 seconds, and a light 6 mph cross-offshore breeze from the northwest keeping things tidy. The combined energy drops to 345—still solid but not as punchy as the day before. A decent option for a calm morning session.
Sunday morning the 12th sees the swell drop to 3ft from the east-southeast, with a 10-second period and a stronger 16 mph offshore wind from the west-northwest. Combined energy is down to 124—pretty weak, but the offshore wind will clean it up. It’s a small, gutless wave though, so don’t expect much.
Then we hit a quiet stretch. From Sunday afternoon through to Tuesday the 14th, it’s all under 2ft with combined energy below 100. A real flat spell. That gap lasts a few days with nothing worth paddling for.
Things pick up again on Wednesday morning, July 15th, when a bigger pulse rolls in: 7ft from the south, but only 8-second period—so it’s a short-period wind swell. Combined energy jumps to 894, and a 9 mph cross-offshore breeze from the south-southwest keeps it clean. That’s a lot of water moving, but the short period will make for some lumpy, sectiony waves. Still, for experienced surfers it’s a standout in the second week.
Wednesday afternoon the 15th jumps to 7ft from the south, 10-second period, with combined energy hitting 1446—that’s strong, solid energy. But the cross-onshore wind from the south-southeast at 6 mph introduces a bit of chop. That’s pushing into bigger, more powerful territory, so beginners should stay out. For the experienced crew, there will be some hefty walls if you can find the right peak.
Thursday morning July 16th settles to 4ft from the south, 10-second period, with a sweet 6 mph offshore from the west-southwest. Combined energy 285. Clean conditions, decent shape—another good call for a morning surf.
After that, the swell fades again into sub-3ft territory from the 17th all the way through to the 25th. There’s a brief uptick on Monday July 20th morning with 2ft from the south, 14-second long-period groundswell, combined energy 223, and a 9 mph cross-offshore northwest wind. That’s a long period for such a small wave, so it’ll be fat, slow, and best for a longboard or a point break, not a beach break.
Bottom line: the best window is Friday the 10th afternoon and Wednesday the 15th morning for the biggest, cleanest conditions. Thursday the 16th morning is also a solid clean option. The rest is either flat or too small and messy.
Rusty.
