Table - best surf conditions forecast for Bandol - Les Nervis over the next 16 days.
Alright, Rusty here. Let’s talk about what’s happening around Bandol – Les Nervis.
Straight up, mate, it’s a grim outlook for the next couple of weeks. We’ve got a long stretch of flat to tiny, choppy dribble. Honestly, don’t even bother looking at the water until the second half of July. There’s a real gap of nearly nothing on offer from Friday, July 10th all the way through most of the week of the 13th. The energy in the water is basically zero, with combined swell energy values barely ticking over (2), and it’s just little sloppy windswell from the ENE and SSE with periods of 3 to 4 seconds – absolute rubbish.
The water temp is sitting at 78°, which is a massive 7° warmer than usual for this time of year. That’s very unusual, mate. Feels like a bathtub.
Now, the only real standout in this entire 16-day window comes around Friday, July 25th. Early in the morning, we get a bit of life. Swell jumps to 8 ft from the WNW, with a period of 7 seconds. Combined swell energy is strong, sitting at 526, so there's plenty of push. The wind is light cross-onshore from the SSE, so it won't be perfect, but it's rideable. This swell size is getting into expert territory though – too big for beginners. By the afternoon, it stays at 8 ft, but with that 7-second period, it’ll be dumping hard on a beach and reef setup like this. For a paddle surfer, it’s a tough prospect. More than anything, that big WNW groundswell with the onshore wind might actually be more interesting for the kite crew than us paddle guys.
Forget about the rest of the run. It’s a nearly blank forecast. That’s how it goes sometimes in this region – you take the few windows when they come.
