Alright folks, Rusty here. Let's have a look at what Trevone Bay has in store for us.
Right off the bat, I gotta be straight with you – the next couple of weeks are looking pretty flat and disappointing. We've got a 16-day window, but honestly, there's a massive gap right at the start with no surf worth paddling out for. The first few days have poor surf conditions, and it's not until Wednesday the 8th that we see a glimmer of something rideable. Even then, from the 8th to the 10th, the energy is weak (between 86 and 138), with waves only around 2ft to 3ft from the west. The water is currently a touch warmer than average at 63°.
Let's run through the highlights – and I use that term loosely. On Wednesday morning the 8th, we get a brief moment of pure glass with a NE breeze at 6 mph. The swell is a weak 2ft from the west at 9 seconds. It's surfable, but very ordinary. That glassy window is the best that day offers. The next day, Thursday the 9th, we get a clean offshore wind from the ENE at 12 mph, which will groom the same small 2ft W swell. It's clean but still tiny.
Then, here's the one standout in the whole outlook. Friday morning the 10th sees a moderate offshore breeze from the SE at 16 mph and a bit more energy at 138. The swell is still only 3ft from the west, but with that clean offshore wind, it might just be worth a session on a longboard. That morning is your best bet across the entire 16 days.
After that, it falls away again. Saturday the 11th through the end of the period sees the swell drop further, with energy readings sinking into the double digits (as low as 19) and waves shrinking to 1ft. The winds are mostly onshore or cross-onshore, making for messy, weak conditions. The second week is a write-off, with nothing I'd point you toward.
So, if you're desperate for a splash, try Friday the 10th morning. Otherwise, the rest of the window is best spent doing something else.
Rusty out.
