Table - best surf conditions forecast for Towradgi over the next 16 days.
Alright, let’s get stuck into this one. This is Rusty, and I’m looking at the surf outlook for Towradgi.
Right off the bat, the water temp is sitting at 65°, which is about normal for this time of year, so no surprises there.
The week kicks off on Friday, July 10th, with a solid 5.2ft swell out of the SE. The period is a decent 9 seconds, and with a light SSW breeze, it’s clean. The combined energy is moderate at 582, and it’s packing enough punch. The wind is cross-off, so Towradgi’s reef setup should be handling this nicely. This is looking like a real standout for the opening window – clean, fun waves. Saturday morning, July 11th, drops a touch to 3.6ft, but the wind is offshore from the NW, right into the optimum SE direction, so it’ll be clean and lined up. It’s a good option, but the Friday session has the edge. The afternoon turns a bit bumpy as the wind swings onshore.
Sunday, July 12th, the swell drops right off to 2ft. Even with a strong offshore wind, it’s just too small to get excited about. The combined energy is a weak 94. Monday and Tuesday, July 13th and 14th, are flat as a tack – energy barely registers. That’s a real gap.
Then we get a pulse on Wednesday, July 15th. The swell jumps to 6.2ft from the S, with a 9-second period and a moderate energy of 886. The wind is cross-off, but the forecast says it’s marginal. The size is getting up there, so it’s not for beginners, but it’s a solid mid-week option for those who are keen. Thursday, July 16th morning is a gem – 5ft from the S, clean, glassy, and the energy is strong at 662. That’s another real standout. The wind is glassy, so it’ll be perfect.
After that, it gets messy again. Friday, July 17th, the swell drops to 1.3ft. The next real window is Saturday, July 18th morning, with a 3.3ft E swell and clean cross-off winds. That’s a nice, small but clean option. Sunday morning, July 19th, is similar – 4ft from the E, clean. The afternoons are blown out by onshore winds, so make the most of the mornings.
The following week, July 21st to 25th, looks small and inconsistent, with the best being a 4ft SSW swell on Thursday, July 23rd, with a clean offshore wind. The energy is moderate at 242, but it’s a weekday, so the crowds will be lighter.
The best bet? Friday morning, July 10th, for the combination of size, direction, and clean conditions. And Thursday morning, July 16th, for the glassy, clean 5ft S swell. Those are the two standouts.
Short Range ForecastLight rain (total 2mm), mostly falling on Fri morning. Very mild (max 17°C on Sat morning, min 10°C on Fri night).
