Alright, let’s break down Snake Park. The first few days are a total bust. Thursday the 6th through Saturday the 8th, we’ve got tiny waves around 3 ft to 3 ft, but the wind is all cross-shore or cross-onshore, making it a lumpy mess. The energy is weak to moderate (213 to 281). Not worth getting wet.

Sunday the 9th morning shows a 3 ft swell from the ENE with a 10-second period and light cross-onshore wind. The energy is moderate (235). It’s a marginal call. That afternoon the wind picks up and it’s back to poor.

Monday the 10th gets a big pulse of southerly swell, hitting 10 ft in the morning. The energy is strong (1387). But the wind is screaming at 25 mph, making it a cross-shore mess. That afternoon, the swell goes to 12 ft, energy hits 2666, but again, strong wind. This is kite-surfing weather, not paddling.

A bit of relief on Tuesday the 11th morning. The swell drops to 8 ft from the south, with a short 8-second period, but the wind goes cross-offshore and the conditions are clean. It’s big, over 8 ft, so only for experts. The energy is very strong (1676). It’s a marginal call, but the cleanest we’ve seen.

The rest of the week into the weekend is a grind. Wednesday the 12th and Thursday the 13th offer consistent 5 ft to 7 ft swell from the SE/SSE, but the wind is cross or cross-shore, keeping things lumpy. The energy is still strong (405 to 1043), but the quality is just marginal.

The real highlight is Thursday the 13th afternoon. The swell drops to 5 ft from the ESE with an 8-second period, and it goes glassy. The energy is moderate (405). This is the cleanest window of the whole outlook. The sea goes flat, the waves are there, and it’s a proper surfable size for most. Mark it.

Friday the 14th and Saturday the 15th mornings also have clean moments. Friday morning has a 5 ft ESE swell with light cross-shore wind, but it’s a marginal call. Saturday morning, though, is a beauty – 3 ft from the east, 10-second period, and glassy conditions. The energy is moderate (290). Perfect for a longboard.

The second week sees the swell stay around 3 ft to 6 ft, but the wind is mostly cross or cross-onshore, keeping the quality just marginal. The energy drops into the moderate range (201 to 655). Nothing stands out.

So, the standout is Thursday the 13th afternoon. That glassy session with 5 ft, clean lines, and a mellow vibe is the best on offer. Saturday the 15th morning is a close second for a smaller, fun session.
