Table - best surf conditions forecast for Newdicks Beach over the next 16 days.
Alright crew, Rusty here. Let’s break down what’s happening at Newdicks Beach over the next couple of weeks.
We’re in a quiet spell right now. The first real chance to get wet hits on Wednesday, July 8th. That morning, expect a clean 4ft swell from the north, with about 9 seconds between waves. There’s a light offshore breeze from the south, so the waves will be holding their shape. The energy is solid at 384—moderate push. This spot is beginner-friendly, and with those conditions, it’ll be a good time.
Wednesday afternoon actually looks even sweeter. The wind goes glassy from the west, and the swell is still 4ft from the north-northeast. The period drops to 8 seconds, but glassy conditions like that make up for it. Energy is still decent at 258.
Now, don’t get too stoked—Thursday the 9th through Tuesday the 14th is a write-off. Swell crashes down under 3ft, winds get messy, and the energy numbers drop into the dirt. A real dry spell.
But hold on—Wednesday, July 15th is the real deal. That morning, we get a solid 6ft swell from the north with an 8-second period. The energy cranks up to 535—strong. Winds are light offshore from the west, so it’s going to be glassy and clean. That’s the session you want. The afternoon stays good with 6ft and a clean west-southwest breeze.
After that, Thursday the 16th morning has a tiny window of clean 3ft swell with light offshore wind, but it’s nothing special. From Friday the 17th all the way through the 23rd, it’s small, weak, and mostly windy. Swell barely reaches 3ft, energy is low, and you’re fighting cross-shore winds.
Newdicks Beach is an inconsistent break, so these long flat spells are pretty normal. But that Wednesday the 15th? That’s the one to point your board at.
Rusty.
