Table - best surf conditions forecast for Midway Beach - Gizzy Pipe over the next 16 days.

Alright folks, Rusty here. Let's get into it. We're looking at a solid run of surf ahead, but it's a bit of a slow starter. The first few days are pretty ordinary, so don't rush out the door just yet. The real action, and I mean proper action, is building for the second week.

The first bit of action is on Saturday the 11th of July, but honestly, it's not much to write home about. We're looking at a 6ft swell from the SE, but it's coming with a cross-onshore breeze and some chop, so it's going to be a bit of a mess. Combined energy is moderate at best (769). The water temp is sitting at 57°, which is just a tad under the average for this time of year, so nothing unusual there.

Sunday the 12th is a bit better. The swell drops to 4ft from the SE, but the wind swings around to a light cross-offshore, cleaning things up nicely. The morning session will be the pick of the day. After that, the surf gets pretty small and weak through the middle of the week. From Monday the 13th through to Thursday the 16th, we're looking at knee-high slop, with the odd bit of clean, small swell in the afternoons. The energy is low, dipping into the double digits (43-187). It's surfable, but you'll be working for it.

Now, for the good stuff. The pattern shifts on Thursday the 17th of July. A new, longer-period swell (15 seconds) from the ESE starts to fill in, but the wind is a cross-onshore, making it a bit messy. The real standout kicks off on the morning of Saturday the 18th. It's not the biggest swell, but the conditions are going to be perfect. The wind goes glassy, and the swell is a clean 5ft from the ESE with a solid 14-second period. The water will be like glass. That's a top pick for a clean, fun session on a longboard or a mid-length.

After that, the swell builds and builds. The true highlight for the experts is Monday the 20th. The morning brings a clean 7ft swell from the ESE, and the wind is light cross-offshore. The energy ramps up into the four-digit range (1172), you can feel the power in the water. For the experienced crew, this is going to be excellent. The swell keeps pumping through the week, with the morning of Tuesday the 21st offering glassy, 8ft waves from the E. By the 22nd, we're looking at 10ft offshores, and by the 25th, the swell is a solid 15ft from the S. That's heavy, expert-only territory with massive energy readings (7163+). The setup at Midway Beach - Gizzy Pipe (Gizzy-Pipe) is a river mouth, so with these long-period groundswells, expect the waves to stand up and offer some proper barrels.

If you're heading out, just be aware that *Midway Beach - Gizzy Pipe* can get a bit of a crowd, especially when it's good, so keep your head on a swivel. For the beginners, anything over 5ft is going to be a challenge, and from the 21st onwards, it's definitely too big. The second week is promising, but it's a long way out, so keep an eye on the forecasts.

Rusty.
