The Lowdown
Hey, Rusty here, and I gotta tell ya, Le Racou’s looking dead quiet for the next couple of weeks. From now all the way through August 20th, we’re looking at next to nothing. The wave energy is basically zero (1) on the rare occasion it even registers, and most days it’s flat. Long gaps of useless conditions. The 20th throws up a tiny 2ft wave from the north, but with a 5-second period and 35 km/h winds out of the NNW, it’s just blown to bits. Not worth a second look.
Le Racou’s an inconsistent beach and reef spot, and this is one of those stretches where it just doesn’t deliver. No standout days, no best picks. Nothing to get excited about.
Stay dry, or find a kite – that’s your best bet.
Rusty.
