Table - best surf conditions forecast for La Nartelle over the next 16 days.
Alright folks, it’s Rusty here. Let’s be straight with you – this 16-day window for La Nartelle is a real flat spell. We’re looking at a long stretch of barely a ripple, so don’t be expecting any hero waves. It’s one of those times where the Mediterranean just goes to sleep.
Looking at the start, Sunday July 12th, we’ve got a tiny bit of energy. A weak 2ft easterly swell with a short period of 5 seconds is rolling in, but the wind is a messy cross-shore in the morning and onshore in the afternoon. The combined energy is a feeble 27 (Sunday morning) and 32 (Sunday afternoon), so don’t get your hopes up. The water temp is about average for the time of year, nothing wild to report.
Monday July 13th is even flatter – swell drops to 0.7ft to 1.0ft with almost no energy (combined energy of just 1). The morning is glassy, which is nice, but there’s nothing to ride. From Tuesday July 14th right through to Thursday July 23rd, the numbers are mostly zeros. We’re talking day after day of no surf, just clean flat spells and occasional light breezes. La Nartelle is a sheltered beginner spot, and it’s inconsistent at the best of times, but this is a proper blank run.
A tiny flicker shows up late on Thursday July 23rd afternoon – a 0.7ft, 3-second easterly bump (combined energy 1) – but it’s onshore wind and utterly useless. Friday July 24th morning is glassy but flat, and the afternoon has a 1ft east-northeast swell (combined energy 10) with a light cross-onshore breeze. Still not worth a paddle. Saturday July 25th morning is glassy with a 1.0ft southeast swell (combined energy 2), and that’s about as good as it gets – which is not good.
The rest of the run through to Monday July 27th is back to flat calm with onshore winds. There is no standout session here. No day where the swell, wind, and conditions line up. For a sheltered spot like La Nartelle, this kind of dead period is pretty normal. Keep an eye on the forecast, because it tends not to stay this quiet forever, but for now, leave the boards at home.
Rusty.
