Table - best surf conditions forecast for La Nartelle over the next 16 days.
Alright folks, Rusty here. Let's be straight with you – this 16-day window is a tough one for the region. I've scoured the charts, and honestly, there's just not much to get excited about. The only break showing any life at all is La Nartelle, but even then, it's a real struggle. The water is sitting at a very unusual 78°F, which is much warmer than normal for this time of year, so if you're just having a swim, it's lovely, but for a surf, it's a long wait.
The first few days from Thursday the 9th through to the end of the first week are a write-off. We're looking at tiny, short-period windswell with next to no energy. On Thursday the 9th, you've got a weak 1ft from the ENE with a 3-second period and a combined energy of just 2. It's cross-on and choppy. It doesn't get any better through Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. The swell is barely there, and the wind is a mess.
There is a tiny glimmer on Monday the 13th morning. The wind goes glassy, but the swell is a pathetic 0.7ft. It's clean, but there's nothing to ride. The same goes for Tuesday the 14th and Wednesday the 15th mornings – glassy conditions but absolutely zero swell. It's flat as a pancake.
We roll into the second week, and it's more of the same. A few scraps of swell appear on the 15th afternoon with a 0.3ft from the south, but it's nothing. On Friday the 17th, we finally get a bit of clean, cross-offshore wind, but the swell is still only 0.7ft. It's a beautiful day to be at the beach, but not to surf.
The truth is, La Nartelle is a sheltered, inconsistent spot, and this forecast shows exactly why. The swell energy never gets above 37 (weak), and the period is always short. There's nothing here that will ever get over 3ft in the entire 16 days. For a beginner, it's too small to even learn on, and for anyone else, it's just a frustrating wait. The setup looks far more interesting for a kite surfer on the few days the wind picks up, but for paddling, it's a no-go.
Honestly, I'd save your energy and check back in a week. Forecasts can change, but right now, this is a blank run.
