Table - best surf conditions forecast for Bulli Beach over the next 16 days.
G’day, Rusty here. Let’s break down what’s happening at Bulli Beach for the next couple of weeks.
We’re starting slow. Wednesday and Thursday are pretty average, with cross-onshore winds and poor surf. Things pick up on Friday morning, 10 July. That morning we’ve got a glassy 1.6m swell out of the SE, clean conditions, and combined swell energy of 406 (moderate). That’s your best bet in the first week – clean, punchy waves at Bulli Beach (NSW). Water temp is about 18°, normal for this time of year. Crowds are possible. The swell period is 9 seconds, so waves are a bit quick, but with the clean surface it’ll still be fun. Afternoon gets bumpy again.
Saturday, 11 July looks tidy again, with a clean 0.7m SE swell in the morning, light offshore wind from the NW, and a groundswell period of 12 seconds. Energy is moderate (293). Small but clean, good for a longboard.
Sunday and Monday drop to barely anything, so we’ve got a few flat days.
From the 12th through to the 16th, there’s a long dry stretch – very small or no waves, just wind chop. Not worth paddling out.
Now for the second-week standout. Monday morning, 20 July, we’ve got a solid 2.5m ESE swell, period 11 seconds, clean with offshore NW wind, and combined swell energy of 1487 (strong). This is for experienced surfers only – that size at an exposed beach and reef will be powerful. It’s eight days out, so keep tabs on it.
Tuesday, 21 July still has big swell around 2–2.5m, but the wind creates cross-shore chop, making it messy.
After that, it drops back to small and unexciting.
So the best windows are Friday morning, 10 July for a clean, fun session, and the standout is Monday morning, 20 July for the big, clean swell – expert only. There’s a gap of about four days with no real surf from the 12th to the 16th.
Stay stoked,
Rusty
