Table - best surf conditions forecast for Bar Beach over the next 16 days.
Alright, let’s see what Bar Beach has cookin’.
To be straight with you, the next week and a half is mostly a bust. Tiny waves, weak energy, and nothing that gets the heart going. From Monday 13th all the way through to Saturday 25th July, it’s a long, flat stretch. The first real action doesn’t show up until Sunday 26th July.
The one to circle on the calendar is that Sunday 26th. The morning brings a clean 5ft swell out of the SSW, with a moderate offshore from the NNW – that’s smooth, lined-up waves. The energy is moderate (379), and the water’s about average for this time of year, no surprises. The afternoon gets even better: a solid 7ft swell from the S, with a moderate offshore from the NW keeping it glassy. The energy ramps up (569), and conditions look very good. This is the highlight of the whole outlook.
But heads up – that 7ft swell with a short 8-second period is powerful and punchy. Not a long-period groundswell, so it’ll be more consistent, but it’s also a lot of juice. This one’s for the experienced surfers. Crowds are a real bet, so expect a packed lineup.
Monday morning (27th July) still has size – 7ft of S swell – but the wind goes cross-off from the west, and the quality dips a bit. Still a decent option if you missed the weekend.
Everything before the 26th is a hard pass. There’s a small 3ft pulse on the 20th, but onshore or cross-onshore winds and weak energy (around 200) make it a waste of time.
So, take it easy until Sunday 26th July. That’s your window. Get out there before the wind changes.
Rusty.
