Alright, Rusty here again. Let’s break it down in feet and knots.
Mate, it’s a total flat spell for The Harbour. For the entire 16-day outlook, there’s not a single session that’s worth a damn. The combined swell energy is tiny, never getting above 57, which is weak. The wind is almost always onshore or cross-shore, and the swell is small, short-period junk.
From Monday the 6th through to Sunday the 20th, it’s all “poor surf conditions.” The swell is mostly under 2ft, with periods under 8 seconds. There’s a brief moment on Tuesday morning the 7th with a 1ft swell from the SSW and glassy conditions, but it’s a 5-second wave – just a ripple. Later, on the 13th and 14th, we get a little bump up to 3ft from the NE, but it’s blown out by moderate cross-onshore winds. The 19th of July shows a 3ft north swell, but it’s wrecked by a strong breeze, making it choppy and messy.
The water temp is about normal for this time of year. Don’t get your hopes up. If you’re really keen on getting wet, Tuesday morning the 7th is the least terrible option, but it’s still rubbish. Honestly, this beach looks more like a kite spot than a surf spot right now.
Rusty.
